📝 🏈 '26 Class Recruiting Updates

I seem to remember that from The Soprano's.

It was the first thing off the top of my head having dealt with a lot of nurses an a fair share of drugs the last few days. If you are looking to date, an can come from the patients side at first introduction, it's an easy—and FUN—group. Warning: They talk amongst themselves so pick wisely and don't date more than one: they'll find out.
Been there experienced that. After a year... Most women knew who I was at Huntsville hospital... Never again.

I just read something about KJ Ford initiating contact with Alabama about his recruitment? From what I saw, he's interested in Alabama again. Does anyone here have more on this(if you can share it)?
Supposedly mutual interest and Bama pushing for him. He's commiting tomorrow and Florida was the school to watch for but I wouldn't be shocked if Bama steals him from school

This one was completely out of left field and extremely sudden, but I'll damn sure take it. Now let's secure Anthony jones in a few weeks and finish this defensive class out strong.
So KJ was interested in Bama before but Bama wasn't playing NIL game. Ford circled back and so there was mutual interest.

FYI... I expect similar situation like this to play out for other recruits for other schools.

Some folks might not like reading this but here goes: Byrne has done a good job setting the University up for these new rules.

What I do think may be missed here, with Ford, goes back to last year. There were a lot of questions about how UF was setting up their various (as in more than one) collective. They weren't meeting the "definition." There was another memo sent to D1 AD's this week pointing to deals that have been offered, but not approved through the clearinghouse.

So, with Ford, I see as equal to a chance of Florida's offer not meeting the requirements and he circled back.

This brings up a question. Do you see elite recuits commited elsewhere circling back to Alabama if NIL deals didn't work out?

I don't know. Maybe? A few more hurdles than just the money.

In my opinion they are at the "we don't need you" in how that relates to competing for titles with the current group. I know I've harped on this countless times since the end of spring camp: the atmosphere around the building. What I was seeing and hearing about we're now seeing cited by players. Recruits mentioning the "brotherhood" and Ty talking about how close knit the team is...

Will player ________ affect that chemistry? Will it bolster the team internally enough to weigh the production?

Hey, it's just my conclusion based on what I've seen, read, heard ... yada, yada. yada.

I'll add this... I've heard from a couple of people that other schools/AD's are trying to get Bama's blueprint to all of this, as they are seeing from afar that UA is one of the few on the right track (and not wasting a lot of time or money getting this right).
