If its wrong now, then it was wrong then. If it was wrong then, then either 1) the NCAA must answer and account for its allowing ineligable players to play, and/or 2) the eligability of past players is not in questions. Does this mean that some school's wins will not be vacated because in eligable players played? I bet not...double standard.

This double standard could lead to a lawsuit by the Hills. If he is ineligable at this point, then all expenses encured by Alfie since coming to Tuscaloosa are now the responsibility of the family, and the coach already cited both a precedent and their acting as good faith agents seeking to operate within NCAA standards.

Did the kid graduate high school?
Did he score high enough on his SAT?

If the answer to both of those questions is yes..then there should be ZERO reason he can't go. It's just that simple in my book. And if i were the Hill's i'd have the best ambulance chaser in town on speed dial asap. And when i got done one of the A's in NCAA would stand for Alfy.

Not quite,this is just more beaurocratic crap college students go through, it just happens to apply to an athlete this time. For instance, certain credits from courses do not transfer to other schools, and you end up wasting time and money if you go to another school. It doesnt matter if that other school teaches the samethings or not, its just a part of regulations. It really is unfair how easy it is to mess up your life doing something as trivial as this, but the orginizations that set the standards just hide behind them when you have an unfortunate case like Alfy's. Its similar in the way that it discredits information he learned.

Basically, and in the same way im sure the NCAA sees it, it is just like he just sat around an entire period after he broke his hand. And he wouldve been better ooff had he done that.

That is a strange turn. If he didn't get through teh clearing house he wouldn't be eligible to play at either place.

Entrance requirements are different per conference. If you recall...Mike Ford didn't qualify for SEC standards but did for his time at FIU...I think it was FIU...
