🏈 albuns fans have lost

The two barners i work with are mooing over how bad they are this year....and this past monday morning I had to hear how they killed Ball State....lol I told the "Damn Good Job! But you could have hung 100 points on them and your STILL not ranked!" DAmn I hope Tenn beats The Barn this saturday....They need a reality check!

If I were Tennessee I'd run the ball and run the ball and run the ball some more and then blitz the beejesus out of Todd.

Auburn has NO defense and have been gashed for massive amounts of yardage and points by even the patsiest of the patsies on their schedule so far.

Unless UT commits a lot of turnovers..I like UT in this one and it may be a mudhole.

There aren't many teams better than bama this year. However I fear that au is better than UT and it could get ugly if we can't collect yards through the air.

I think UT is better off to pound the ball down their throat. Their d-line is not deep and their LB play AWFUL.
They have a true freshman in the secondary too.

JC has proven that he is incapable of spotting an open man, hitting the open man, avoiding pressure, picking up blitzes and everything else that a JV QB is taught.....but he is pretty dang good at handing the ball to Montario and slinging it to Brown out of the backfield and we will need to both done effectively and methodiaclly to pull an upset. I am scared that Chizik/Roof catch on and sit spys on the corners and shut down our west coast passing attack to Brown and force us to throw down the middle like Ohio did.

My prediction for this game is that we do a pretty good job stopping auburn's offense but 2 INTS cost us the game.....War Buzzards-17/The Good guys-10

Considering that Tennessee has zero confidence in Crompton and no hint of a passing game, I'm afraid they have no choice but to run. If I'm Auburn I load up the box to stop the run and make Crompton beat me. I'd be surprised if Auburn didn't knock the crap out of Tennessee.

I agree 100%. If the Viles stick to the run game they can beat Awebarn all day. It's gonna be interesting to watch, that's for sure!

All Awebarn has to do is load the box and then they win because Tennessee can't pass. My 4 1/2 yr old son Treycin is a better quaterback than Crompton.

Cory

Bingo. It's all very well saying 'Run it all day' but if they don't show they can pass, the barn will load the box, and unless you a) have cloned Adrian Peterson b) have an NC-quality O-line or c) both, you're not going to be able to make a huge amount of headway running on an SEC defense unless you can show some kind of threat to pass.

There's all the difference in the world between having a game manager QB like John Parker, where your bread and butter play is running but he can hurt you if you commit too many men to stopping the run, and having a terrible quarterback like Crompton who can't. Unless he can show himself to be at least competent, Auburn wins this.

You pound the ball to open up the short pass game. Then that sucks the DB's up a little more. UT will have to pass but it cannot be gunslinger style. If UT comes out trying to sling it around with Aubrun they are gonna lose. You must wear their D down from lack of depth. Nobody said " Run all day" as that would not be a very smart thing for any football team to be that one dimensional.

Actually, look a couple posts up. Someone said precisely that.

If you can establish a short passing game, it helps, but ultimately it's still not going to draw the secondary that far from the LoS. Plus you need an excellent Comp %.

Obviously they're going to go run-heavy, because that's where their strength is. My skepticism is more over the notion that Crompton can give them any kind of passing game at all to keep the D honest.

Actually I said it on the other page but figure I would go into a little more depth about what I meant.

Crompton has been terrible for 2 years now. I do not doubt he will turn it over. Handing the ball off and short passes are the easiest way to solve that. If they cannot do that it might be a long night, BUT other teams have run on Aubrun and I think UT can as well.
