Years and years of Alabama football in my life, very fortunate to be a Bama fan. Like many of you I have been a Bama fan my whole life, since birth, I had no other choice, and dang proud of that fact. Being from Alabama, its hard to be humble, I don't regret not being humble either. Arrogant seems to be the word for us from fans that are not us, if the tables were turned they would be the same way. I make no apologies for it, I relish it. Over and done with all the talk about how Bama backs into things, isn't deserving, could beat a NFL team, blah blah blah. Facto.... Alabama is playing for its third National title in Four years, Fact, Bama is deserving of it, and to all the people not Alabama?...... get over it, LMAO we are there.... Again. We are gonna play Notre Fing Dame for all the marbles.

Breaking down the game and the stats are clearly in the Tides favor. We are not facing a team that has a superstar on offense, nor is it's QB some lights out, talented-lucky-gifted-finessed player. Its pure and simple, it's a team we can stack up well against. Does not mean we will win this game, it is clearly a game for the ages. Does Notre Dame belong in this game? Absolutely, they have earned the right, played hard for it, and deserving is an understatement. I have always thought it would take nothing short of a miracle for ND to get to this level of play, well it has happened. Kudos to them. They win with heart and drive, and are well coached. It is exactly what any Football fan wants, a game between two teams with rich tradition, NC's in the trophy case, high profile coaches through the years with blue collar people cheering, gnawing, fighting, scratching and yes gloating for their respective team. It is Alabama vs Notre Dame.

I am in cherishing mode, I have been through the hills and valleys with what is called Alabama Football, I am sure Notre Dame is feeling the same way. What can any college football fan ask for other than their team in it. When the lights flip on in Miami, the shoulder pads latch and chin straps click, its on, and if god willing I will be watching cheering on what possibly might be, history repeating itself, with a different outcome.... a Alabama win.

Roll Tide!!

Great post. It certainly is dream matchup that can silence the haters and right a lot of history. Roll Tide.

That said, I wan't Bama to beat the Irish so badly, that the majority of Notre Dame's fan base gives up Catholicism after the the game.

Awesome post, Kirk! Nothing more for me to say that would resonate like that.

And to Jeff: Spot on with this line--"It certainly is dream matchup that can silence the haters and right a lot of history."

Roll Tide Roll!

I have full confidence in AJ, what he did last year against LSU should be no different in what he does against ND....

After yesterday though and seeing what our RB's and mainly our offensive line is capable of....We better run the ball 45-50 times against ND and get their defense fatigued by halftime

I'm hoping for some redemption for 1966. One thing is for certain, there will be no "playing for the tie" in this game like Notre Dame did in '66. This one will be settled between the sidelines. I feel like it will be a great game. I'll accept defeat if it comes or celebrate a championship if it does. Either way, this match up is something I've wanted for a long time.

Calling it now: this will be the best BCS Championship yet. It's gonna be epic. It's truly a dream match-up. I know a guy who is a huge Bama fan, and his wife is a huge ND fan .. He said his wife already started making "We have God on our side, you have Saban on your side" jokes. We will see who is on whose side come January. CAN'T FREAKING WAIT. ROLL TIDE!!! :icon_elephant:
