Alabama vs. Michigan kickoff time, TV network for ReliaQuest Bowl.
So this is where Bama going to play the bowl game?

Alabama football has its bowl destination. The Crimson Tide is on the way to Tampa, where it will face Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl, the schools and game announced on Sunday.

With the matchup set, Alabama also learned time and television designations for the final game of its 2024 season. The game will kick off at 11 a.m. CT, Tuesday Dec. 31, at Raymond James Stadium.

The matchup will be aired on ESPN. It’s a rematch of last year’s College Football Playoff Rose Bowl semifinal, which Alabama lost before Michigan went on to win the national championship against Washington, which was led by current Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer.

Alabama was the first team out of the CFP field this year. The Crimson Tide was spurned in favor of SMU, after the Mustangs narrowly lost the ACC championship game to Clemson, which earned the Tigers an auto-bid and bounced UA.

Alabama finished the 2024 regular season at 9-3, and flaunted its wins over Georgia and South Carolina, pointing to its strength of schedule as a reason to get in over SMU. However, the Crimson Tide also had two losses against unranked teams, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma, which ultimately cost it the position.

“We looked at the number of wins Alabama had against ranked opponents,” Manuel said. “We looked at SMU’s schedule. They were undefeated in-conference. Their losses were to ranked teams. But we also looked at Alabama’s losses to unranked teams. It was quite a debate.”

Alabama last played in the ReliaQuest Bowl, then known as the Outback Bowl, after the 1996 season, beating Michigan 17-14. The Tide also played in the game once when it was known as the Hall of Fame Bowl, falling 28-24 after the 1987 season, also against Michigan.

There was a time where the competitors in this progam would show up and be all about finishing for their teamates. Hope CKD can find a way to tap into that even now. Hope he can find a way to get the players to do what is best for their teamates and the progam going forward.

You all know ms.ledge is a Michigan fan and is shitting kittens thinking Bama will destroy them.
I’m not so sure, either they will be pissed and skulldrag them or be disappointed and lay an egg.
We’ll see how CKD prepares them.

This game is an opportunity for this team to zero in & get better. This reminds me a lot like the 2007 Bowl game Playing Colorado after 'Bama lost several games in November, including the Iron Bowl. That was Nick Saban's first year & his first full recruiting class was in play. The month's of December '07 , January '08, & February '08 had HUGE implications to the success of Coach Saban's football program.

Can CKD get this team positioned with the same tragectory? Coach DeBoer tends to have have stellar season 2's. I truly hope so & I look forward to see what transpires with this program over the next 3 weeks. Roll Tide!

And have a 10 win season.

I will never understand why Bama vs Michigan is SO intriguing. We've drawn them enough times over the years where it's just tiresome now. Beating them won't avenge a thing from last season, as Saban and Harbaugh have both moved on to the next phase of their lives. We should have gone to the Citrus to play Illinois, really

Cfp just make it less.
And 10 win seasons is important

We are feeling so much like after BEAR retired.
for those that remember the 80s

I am ready for Aday and 2025.
Really see what KD is like as a HC.

It's really not about the opponent. At least it shouldn't be. In fact, that is exactly why this team is playing out of the playoffs by simply preparing based on the opponent. This team didn't prepare or play the same for Vandy, Oklahoma or Tennessee like they did LSU or Jawja.

Let's see this team focus on their own improvement regardless who they line up against.

I just wish we could have played Miami or someone closer in ranking to us
I imagine that Miami jumped out to finalize their bowl position about the same time those rankings came out Tuesday, meanwhile, we were left in limbo until yesterday morning and then had to scramble in a sense. I’m thinking there are still conference ties to bowl games as well.
