| FTBL Alabama vs Michigan -Bama Football Falls to UM in ReliaQuest Bowl, 19-13

I agree with this. It is concerning to me that CKD left Milroe in the game because, "he saw the fight in his eyes" or something to that effect. You have to have the nads to make a change if it's warranted like Sark does. Although, Kirby tends to be loyal to his guy as well. Either way, the HC needs to be able to make tough decisions if it's best for the team to win. Saban pulled Hurts for Tua and made history.
Are we to assume that Simpson didn’t have fight in his eyes? Kind of a slap at him either intentionally or not.

Willing to bet Simpson is. My entire point is we have the horses. He may never get another Michael Penix Jr, so we can't go off history either if we can't go off paper. Hard to have a fifth or sixth year quarterback.

Guess I'm not one to wait multiple years for these guys making $10M a year. He's now got eight months to get his starter ready for his system.

I'm of the impression at this point Milroe remained quarterback due to pressure within tge program. Ty ain't this bad, ain't possible.
JMO but there is nobody on this team that Bama can't allow to leave TODAY and I have Williams on that list as well. These people don't play the game like it means that much to them. Go Blue had numerous backups playing today and they got after it very well. Salute to their staff for doing a good job.

How about that OL for Go Blue. Where did they find all those white dudes. #23 for UM ran like someone stole his lunch money.

Well at least this depressing season is finally over. I am willing to give KDB another year but changes have to be made. And please encourage Milroy to go pro. Or transfer. I don’t care but her has done enough damage to this program for two years. It’s time to get a QB who can actually read a defense and know where to giving the ball. And defensively I am willing to give KW another chance but he needs to make changes as well. This team was too talented to have a season like this. All those 5 stars and 4 stars and they could only get 9 wins. And the schedule wasn’t that difficult.

100% agree. And I mean that from DeBoer's perspective with Milroe and Sheridan's if he's forced to play with Milroe.

I've said here for a LONG time. The Milroe that plays the first series is the Milroe that plays the last series. No adjustment and he doesn't get better.
I played QB myself and when I broke the huddle I knew where I was throwing the ball and to hell with all that read this and read that. When that ball is snapped, and everyone is coming after your ass then your prospective changes in a hurry.

Then again that was HS but that is Exactly how #4 plays this game today! If that receiver is open, you get success otherwise not so much.

I still don't buy "the fit" discussion. Our players are the highest end athletes you can find and fine tuned to be able to adapt. We had everything we needed. Need a good size receiver, you got 6'5 Odom or 6'3 Bernard. You need speed? We got Ryan Williams, Pentice, and Law. Wanna ram the ball down their throat you got 225 Haynes. Wanna run with speed and pass to a back, you have Miller.

Defensively, you need backers that can run and cover or handle the run, you have Campbell, Lawson, Jefferson. Need a cover corner you have two 6'2 corners running 4.4. Need a leader, you got Moore. We did not have that bad ass pass rusher this year and it hurt us, but other than that we had a guy for anything.

Folks will argue with that, but in the end you really have everything you need and in a better position than just about any other program in the country.
Find Highest end athlete ? This isn't no slave auction .

Ty may be not that bad, but we dont know. Dont know the situation, aint at any of the practices, dont know the situations the coaches are in with the players they have. Could have done better, no doubt, could have done worse, also, no doubt.

I understand that I am spoiled because of living during the Bryant, Stallings and Saban era. I get that. BTW, I was here for those other shit years as well. There have been years, even in the last ten, where I was disappointed at the end. It's been a long, long time since I was truly depressed.
CKD will have my full support going into next year. It's the unconditional love that goes to a new coach. But, in year two, it's time for the excuses to stop! This was not a team that needed to be rebuilt like the one CNS inherited. I get it needed to be retooled a bit to fit the system. I'm hoping he can get the pieces in place to right the ship next year. Because for me, that year will be "put out or swim!".
As for Jaylen, I hope he gets drafted. I hope he has a HOF career in the NFL! I hope that just once when they put a mic in his face after a great NFL win, I get to hear him say, "Roll Tide" one more time. But, his time in Tuscaloosa needs to have come to an end. He's a great kid but can't read a defense for shit. As we say, Roll Tide, anyway. On to basketball.

I'm of that that opinion as well. My autistic brain works like this: If Widget A isn't working, replace it with Widget B. That logic can work with machines, but humans are not like that.

I wish Jalen Milroe the best. In the grand scheme of things, I view him as a Andrew Zow/Tyler Watts type of QB. One of those guys that 20 years from now you'll be at a sports bar and say, "Hehe, you remember Jalen Milroe? Yeah he had some good moments... I wonder what he is up to these days?"

Williams isn't going anywhere. Stop it.

There were a lot of player’s families around today. One parent told us, and I won’t say the player’s name, that there is very little team spirit anymore, that everything is about money and what can I get. This player was in his last game today and he’s not sad about it. He’s sad about what it has become and misses his first couple of years in the program. But he’s somewhat glad it’s coming to an end. This is a player and producer, not a bench warmer.

This was interesting too, Byrne was walking around through the stands before kick off. And I mean right up until kick. Shaking hands and taking photos with kids (and adults). Sales job.

We may have seen a new precedent with Mbakwe negotiating a deal for playing both sides of the ball, so what is the next progression? What happens when donors start earmarking their donations to the collective or school for a specific player and then for a specific player to get playing time? If it’s a big donor, do they get leverage or told to take a hike?

Damn Michigan fans, think they own us. I guess they do. Heck, you’d think they just won a NC again. They did beat 2 top 12 teams consecutively to end the season, not a bad finish for Sheron Moore and Co. better finish than DeBoer and Co.

Atleast if he did worse, we could justify that and why he wasn't starting. The issue is we never found out why and/or if. As I have stated before, I've been ready for a while now to see someone else make errors.

UA is the greatest football program of all-time and CKD turned the offensive controls over to someone with little to no experience in calling plays.
Maybe he had little choice with Grubbs jumping ship late. It's clear to me Sheridan is over his head he has to go or be replaced for sure.

Former player. This is a take Im inclined to agree with.

Can we define "athlete" at this point? I'm tired of the weak argument to give a guy an excuse for being shitty. Sure, he can run fast, but can he truly pass? We calling him an athlete because he's a formidable basketball player and hit a baseball? Or is he just a really good two hand touch football player that can dodge being touched?

True, they did an absolute terrible job getting him out of the pocket and away from the rush, BUT, he had wide open receivers most of the day and did not hit one of them when it mattered, and pretty certain he never saw them because he's not a cerebral athlete. Athlete? He stood there like a statue most of the game. Let's go look at his uniform compared to a lot of others and his was VERY clean considering the storm that ran through there. He was under pressure, but he also had a lot of opportunities in a clean pocket to complete passes all day. An "athlete " isn't getting strip sacked twice and fumbling a perfect snap in a half quarter's time.

At this point, I'm glad Milroe's time is done. I'm simply tired of all the excuses everyone throws out there for him. I never hear excuses for the offensive or defensive line, the linebacker, or receivers. They get ripped to shreds while the precious quarterback isn't playing in his type of system, isn't getting time to throw, is dealing with an injury, might be dealing with some mental health stuff etc. The clock has struck midnight and today should have killed any chance at the first round in my book. No NFL system will support him. He's an amazing person as I've stated a lot of times, and very thankful for the way he treated my son, and I will support him in the NFL or wherever he ends up, but I will not get tired of hearing the excuses to support a subpar performance.

We have lost our way. Is it temporary or lasting? All say that Saban had the guts to pull Hurts and play Tua. Tua was clearly a better passer than Hurts. Saban and everyone at practice knew this. DeBoer chose experienced dynamic athlete vs unproven pocket passer. Last 3 games, he was horrible. If they not playing Simpson there has to be good reason.

"Dynamic athlete" is questionable at this point.
