🏀 🏀 Florida vs Alabama: Tide Falls to the Gators, 99-94

I'm not gonna say this team is not capable winning big games. I'm not gonna say that not capable of going on a run. However I am saying that this team does a lot of things that get a team bounced in the first or second round

Looks like this Bama team is going to finish the regular season on a 3 game losing streak. It’s going to take an error free game to even compete with Auburn especially on their home court. This team is not NC caliber. Lacking leadership from the seniors. RTR

I mean this whole team is just so freaking overrated. Florida misses the free throw and yet still gets another loose ball. It's senior night and yet no one is playing with any intensity whatsoever. Tells me everything I need to know about the squad this season

Defensive rebounds were awful this game. Fast break points in Floridas favor by +12 is terrible bad shot selections, turnovers and fouls were awful. Officials bad and a randomly hot Florida team from 3 really just hurt us we are the opposite of hot going into the post season

I knew it was going to be a tough stretch but I did not expect 3 straight losses to end the season. Of course they could go to the cow pasture and pull one out but it is unlikley.

Had the lead under a minute in the Tennessee game, and hung around mostly in this gane, but never even tried to put a dagger in Florida and they simply punched us in the mouth and we buckled.

Yeah I thought they outplayed the Viles. Florida just punked them especially on the boards and effort... How do you not give better effort at home on Senior night?

Playing banged up, but also just athletically limited. Still, not 100%, which is where he needs/has to be to make an impact in a game like that.

Florida has two guys at his skill level where Nelson has Cliff, but he is nowhere as mobile as Nelson which limits our game in the paint and penetration. Florida was so active in the paint with their bigs they were able to neutralize our bigs and still defend our driving guards. Active hands was key.

I hate it because we are like bad gamblers, just don't know when to quit going to the well and simply trying something else. We should have moves the ball all might and taken more threes to tire them.

Most amazing stat of the night, Bama only committed 6 turnovers (and just 1 in the 2nd half). I stand by what I said after the Mizzou game... Bama would finish out 2-4 just like last season. Also stand by what I said after the Tennessee game... I'm actually pretty pleased with how the team is playing, overall. If Oats can reset some things and work some of his magic after the SECT like he did last year, I like where things sit. Somehow entice Reid to get back on the court? Icing.

Yeah if Reid could come back I think he could be a difference maker. Missing Wrightsell I think some as well. No idea where Holloway went tonight. He has had a couple of struggle games. Nelson has to get back healthy and find his confidence. He passed up a lot of 3s that maybe a month ago he would have shot and hit his share of them.

Definitely missing Wrightsell. The overall guard depth helped absorb the missing spot he left, but it didn't absorb the missing player he was/is. Only silver lining is he will be back next year, otherwise it would have been beyond a brutal loss.

My what a difference a few weeks make. I watched an ESPN BB show one night where the pundits all agreed Bama was a first seed lock. They’re not saying that now. One pundit just said he “misjudged Bama”. I’m not a big basketball fan so maybe these things happen all the time? It just seems odd to me how far the Tide have fallen since they started the gauntlet of playing so many ranked teams in a row. Maybe it will turn out to be a good thing? They certainly won’t have a bullseye on their back.
