šŸˆ GAME THREAD Alabama visits LSU on Saturday night

Damn, I'd take a good shrimp po-boy right now.

@It Takes Eleven I had an oyster po-boy at Jestine's Kitchen on Meeting the other day. Make it a point next time to eat there. Let me know what you think about her "table wine" sweet tea.

Ain't Jestine's that little place on the corner near College of Charleston that is almost impossible to get into unless you want to wait in line forever? I want to say that's for breakfast, but I could be talking about a different place too.

@BamaFan334, Two, maybe three blocks. Tim stays in the Market area when he's in town on business. It's in his "walking range" though he'd never do that. <img alt="" src="https://ih0.redbubble.net/image.567420689.0744/pp,650x642-pad,750x1000,f8f8f8.u2.jpg" style="width: 75px; height: 100px;" />

She doesn't open until 11.

It's probably known more as a desert place.

Hominy Grill was what I was thinking about. Definitely will try Jestine's. Hoping to make it over for that Kiawah Ocean Course package this Winter, finally.

Will do, thanks. If the weather's okay, I'll walk a good 10-12 blocks for a meal and libations, thank you very much. I walked from the Marriott on Wentworth to the hotel at Charleston Place to Fig in slick cowboys boots, on ice, last January looking for a bite. As you remember, that whole place was a mess.

@XXL TideFan, Much like BBQ, I've found sausage gravy is a bit indigenous. Is that the right word? Maybe.

I'd never even dreamed of, much less heard of, a mustard based BBQ until I moved to the Low Country. Now it's not uncommon to find four different styles within a miles' radius of each other.

I'm much prefer the gravy from The Waysider, or Rama Jama's for that matter, over his at The Hominy Grill. But, his has a great flavor that sets it apart. I've had that dish a half of a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Their Jalapeno Hushpuppies are really good.

and expect this chart to either change or play a huge factor:

I don't have the stats to back this up but from my eyes and memory LSU on 3rd and passing tend to bring a DB (Delpit) to get pressure. I think recognition and pick up of that will be key on 3rd down. One of the reasons I am glad TT will have the extra week for his knee to get better. His mobility will be needed moreso than any other game this year. Also I am sure the backs are being coached up on picking up that DB. Something that MSU did not do last week.

Now that you mention it...I do recall your comments on eating there. Did you tell me you had the Snapper or am I getting you and someone else confused? I'm pretty sure I recommended their ribeye. A friend celebrated her anniversary there recently and is swearing by their mushroom soup.

I'm guessing on the number...but put it close to 25 eating places that have popped up in the last 10 years or so within a few blocks of the office.
