MO is still alive, but they should be out. Beat Hofstra 1-0 in their first game. MO had 1 hit and Hofstra had 8! Hofstra won 10-0 today and MO leads 1-0 in the first inning of the "if necessary" game.

Yes sir. I got 10 of the 11 right! :tongue-new:

I must have confused Oregon State's record with Mizzou's...was thinking they were 1-2.

In a very uncommon move I'm actually hoping UAB wins today...I can't recall ever rooting for them, in anything.

Tied 1-1 with UCLA right now. Of course, that might be more of me rooting against the PAC.

It would be fun to see them face UF.

I'm truly hoping South Alabama advances. Beating FSU twice is a tall task.

Looks like MO and ut are going to advance. Second year in a row that Louisville has hosted a regional as the #15 seed and matched against a #2 seed SEC team in the Super Regional. Second year in a row they have failed to advance to that SR. Last year against Bama, and this year against UF.

Looks like we're going to have a couple of good elimination games tonight.

USA still up on FSU and Baylor has taken the first game from the Aggies.
On a different note:

Normally, I'd be all in favor of as many SEC teams advancing as possible. But, I can't say I feel that way towards Mizzou or the Aggies.

Would have been nice for ut to lose and Bama get to host the SR.

Had to leave for awhile. Can't believe what happened with UAB-UCLA while I was gone. Folks, this is why Bama doesn't play UAB in football. Nothing to gain. Everything to lose.

Women's softball was probably invented at UCLA. If not, very nearby. UAB wins 3-2 in 13 innings with 4 hits and 1 error against UCLA with 16 hits and no errors. UCLA scores an unearned run due to the only error in the game in the top of the 11th to go up 2-1 only to have UAB tie it in the bottom of the 11th and win it in the bottom of the 13th. Unbelievable! You couldn't sell the script in Hollywood. They would laugh you out of the place.

While their loss is to a more formidable opponent, it's just as unusual to see Arizona out after the regionals as well.

Story to watch when we get to the WCWS?

If the seedings remain close to what they are now, it's going to put Oklahoma and Oregon on the same side of the bracket as a one and three seed.

NOW, if I recall correctly and I may be wrong on this...it seems to me when we get to the Super Regionals a win over a higher seeded opponent translates to the winning team getting that particular seed in the WCWS. So, a win in the Super's against Tennessee would throw us in the bottom bracket facing Florida and the second game putting us against Texas or Missouri.

That's off the top of my head...don't hold me to its veracity.
