Report released Friday at 5 p.m.

The early July tradition continued again this year with Alabama's annual release of secondary NCAA violations.

The document was posted just before 5 p.m. Friday on Alabama's official website. It details 13 infractions considered minor Level 3 and Level 4 offenses.

Only one involved the Crimson Tide football program. Reported July 1, 2017, a football assistant coach responded to an "unknown text message which resulted in impermissible communication with the parent of a 2019 prospective student-athlete."

There was one violation reported with the men's basketball program. A current player tweeted to a recruit in an issue reported March 30.

Most of the violations involved accidental communication in the recruiting process. Both a gymnastics and soccer coach pocket dialed a recruit outside of the contact periods, for example.

The baseball team failed to provide required days off from athletically-related activities during an institutional vacation period in a violation reported June 25.

A year ago, Alabama released 22 secondary violations -- nine involving the football program. In 2016, the number of self-reported violations was 19 with five for football.
