🏈 Alabama defensive lineman Jamil Burroughs has entered the transfer portal

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!! This is going to cost him A LOT of one on one time at 5-5:30am in the practice facility, running and doing calisthenics until he pukes, then do some more!!! At least that would be what you got when Rich Wingo was the Head S&C coach!!! Add on it, multiple games where he gets to sit in his dorm and watch, not even allowed to enter BDS!

I have an old pc, not hooked up, that contains a perfect photo for this situation on its hard drive. It is a picture of the Bryant Hall dorm rules from many years ago, posted on the wall of the common area under the direction of one Coach Paul Bryant. There were maybe 8-10 rules listed... The last one, “no horseplay.” True then, and still holds true today. I searched the web over and couldn't find the rules list last night anywhere on the net.

Yes, definitely time to hold the upper classmen and team leaders to a much higher standard… some of the second chances need to be limited… especially if someone’s been there a while, and knows better… just simply saying someone is a kid or naïve just isn’t going to cut it anymore…

Correctamondo…these guys want a JOB now… not a scholly… show them what gets them fired in the real world…
It's a little funny when I think about fans wanting Josh Chapman fired after his DUI and he's become a really good guy: character. Knowing the path Josh traveled and Jamil chooses Josh as his sparring partner?

I know how I responded to being pushed to improve by coaches though not at this level. To me, this is ALL about how a person has handled ... well, the pressure of his life.

I didn't know this.
Please don't take this the wrong way, Rickey. There's no reason to post things like that.

I know this is going to sound weird ... if everything that happens was posted 95+% of the general fan base would freak out. Some kids grow up, some don't. That said, I've never seen a reason to post the crap they deal with in their lives: self induced or not.

I’m just surprised that Jamil is healthy and able to chew solid food today… because he piicked a rough & hard man to attempt to flex on.. according to most records, Josh Chapman was the strongest person to play at UA..

Josh Chapman always seemed to me like one of those guys that was always quiet...until it was time to NOT be quiet. Like somebody you better respect and fear. A teddy bear that could switch to grizzly bear in less than a second.

And if that is true about Burroughs, his future at Alabama (both as a player and a student) needs to be seriously evaluated. Hitting a coach is something you do not do unless it's self defense.

I don’t know if he was the strongest or not. Robert Stewart was a FREAKING MONSTER back in the day when I was there. Once saw him “warming up” with 525 on bench press and the bar bent while in his hands and come crashing across his chest. Myself and a couple of other walkon QBs got it off of him. He was writhing in pain. I figured multiple broken ribs. We helped him to the training room and they put several ice packs on him and 20 minutes later, he came back in and benched 570!😳 Told Coach Wingo that he felt “a little tight” and felt he could’ve gotten more!!

Stewart was a beast. Didn't he come in as a fullback, but made the switch after bulking up?

Did you ever see any players get into with coaches during your time at the University?
