The margin of victory matters less to Saban than the manner of victory. He's happy with a narrow margin of victory so long as we possess the ball, don't turn it over, and shut down the opposing offense. He's stressed out if we win by a larger margin but don't limit the number of plays his defense has to play. I'm not criticizing Saban - I'm merely noting what anyone should know about his style if they have followed him closely
I will have to say that I agree with this here 100%! Give Saban a win where his defense dominates and the offense doesn't hurt us, he is like a 7 year old on Christmas morning. Win that same game in a shootout manner, he seems like that girl that was expecting an engagement ring but instead saw her beau surprise her with his new bass boat!!! True story!! My cousin dated a guy for 3-4 years and they were in love. He called her up and told her that he was headed to her house and that he had a surprise for her. She told her parents, got all dressed up with makeup and waited. He pulls up with a brand new Ranger bass boat behind his truck and says, "surprise! Now we can go to the lake in this and not have to borrow my dad's boat!" My cousin was crushed. Dumped him right then. Moved to California and the rest is history.
