Tonight at 6 pm, mandatory masks wearing goes into effect for our entire state (Ohio) if you are out in public, few exceptions. Personally, I look for many state athletic associations, the governors of each state or health department to step in and move to a later date the opening of football season. Our schools are also operating at 25% capacity as of today. In Ohio, we have 4 levels of emergency for health matters and we are currently in red (3). Our next step, if levels continue to climb, will be going to purple (4), where all schools will go online, only essential businesses will be open and no sports of any kind.

I dont like wearing a mask but I do because Mrs. Bama has a severe case of asthma and is immune deficient. I do it for her first and out of respect for my fellow citizens that I come in contact with. If I leave my office at school for any reason, I have to put on a mask. Like I said, I dont like it at all but I want this to go away ASAP. As a side note, our county stayed very low in COVID cases for several months but the last two weeks we have tripled our numbers.

here in Georgia, HS football has been pushed 2 weeks, but they're still practicing, but they're now talking about starting school a month later. I expect it to change again and be 100% virtual with no football, but that's just my thoughts on how it's going.

With everything that has been on TV, state guidelines and local heath departments....my head is spinning. I do trust medical opinions/science more than I do everyone that is a medical expert on Facebook and other social media outlets.

Just say no to news reports. Do your own research and cross reference reports. So much false information being put out. Even when reports of false numbers you have to ask is that systemic or isolated. People that focus on mistakes immediately go to the extreme well you can't trust any numbers.

Ain't nothing wrong with that.... Sounds like some folks here probably wouldn't do it for her peace of mind.

I see both sides of the mask thing. I get the idea of govt overreach and where it could lead, but that's not my feeling on this particular issue.

I wear it just because I'd want people to be courteous of my wife/aunt/daughter or at-risk family member if they had to be in public as well. The Golden Rule, I guess....
