I did, was a geocache apparently but had me wondering for a min

OK, that makes sense. I've never done the geocache thing, but I recall now that they use stuff like medicine bottles and film canisters. I had a co-worker/friend that used to be big into years ago when it first got popular (2010 'ish?). I still make fun of him for it.

I wasn't looking for it, was checking the rock I was going to sit on for snakes. Thought I'd found a dope drop or something but only had papers with names and dates on it inside.

@It Takes Eleven Are you camping or staying in hostels?
Both. I’m in the distinct minority carrying a full pack for camping. Most use a baggage transfer service that moves the bulk of their belongings to their next stop and they essentially day hike with minimal items. We had overnight rain coming so I snagged a hiker pod in Tyndrum, and camped at Beinglas campsite the night before, after a 22-mile day along much of Loch Lomond. Here’s the pod, with electricity, heat and a pot for warming water. The doors make it look larger than it is. They are each 16-18 inches wide, maybe 5 1/2 feet tall. That is not a large chair sitting on the stoop.
