Candlelight Concert in Birmingham tonight. Playing a good selection of Christmas songs and ending with pieces from The Nutcracker. Beautiful, stirring work!

We've seen a few of those in Atlanta, pretty nice.

Where was it? My wife and I have this ongoing conversation about, in retirement, how often we return to Atlanta for things like this we enjoy, or find alternatives in Bham, or find other locales for short trips. We have season tickets at the Fox for Broadway and also at City Springs Theater in Sandy Springs (saw White Christmas last night), but we've seen some good touring shows in both Bham and Oxford (their performing arts center is a little gem).

@It Takes Eleven, sorry, we saw them at the museum of art. Last week a friend of mine saw them at a Methodist church in Pensacola. Nice atmosphere here, too.

We're here at The Myrtles in St. Francisville, LA. There's a haunted tour of the grounds at night (we're going on it tomorrow). I kreckon they're here for the the show.

On the way back home this morning, we hit the Mississippi state line and saw this sign for the Lynyrd Skynyrd monument. We had no idea it existed, so now that my wife and I have paid homage, we're... we're so much the better for it.
