My experience with coaching clinics really begins back in the day Bebes was still roaming the sidelines at Bryant-Denny. I wasn't a coach, but getting into those sessions were about as easy as it was for underage kids to get into The Booth when it was still on University Blvd.
I'll admit, my fascination waned when DuBose took over the program. It was perked, momentarily, with Dennis Franchoine and went back into hibernation with the arrival of Shula.
Saban's hire and his first clinic caught my eye again. But, it was more in a comparison mode with other SEC schools than it was the content being taught to high school coaches around the nation.
