šŸˆ A coach can’t yell at professional NFL player?

So where is the line between hard coaching and going to far? It was hard to tell from the video. I know when I was playing in my teen years we would get a hard slap upside the helmet or backside if we did something undisciplined/stupid.

You can't just hit a player. That's a no no in NFL. I don't care if it's football, or basketball, you don't put your hand on grown ass man. There's many way to get your message across without getting physical.

But then folks whine when a player gets cut too. You want a coach to be professional, yet this dude makes the boneheaded play of his life and one that continues to get so much negative publicity every time it happens. Act like a pro, am I right?

Yep. Should have just cut his ass. But you gave up that avenue when you hit him. Can you imagine the lawsuit if you cut him after you hit him?

Give ball to official. Works every time.
Preach! Coach should not have put a hand on him in this day and age.

Act like you have been there before. When I coached, I would take all the skilled players and we would walk to the end zone and I would tell them when they crossed to hand the ball to the ref. Do not toss it, throw it or do anything with the ball except give it to the ref. I also told them they had all been in the end zone before now so act like it. Celebrate with a teammate, high five players on the sidelines but do not draw attention to yourself.

Did they listen? That’s great advice
