🏈 🅰️-DAY 2025: Recaps and commentary.

The Crimson Tide’s annual intrasquad scrimmage will signal the end of spring practice

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –
The University of Alabama and head football coach Kalen DeBoer announced Friday that the 2025 Golden Flake A-Day Spring Game is officially scheduled for Saturday, April 12.

The annual A-Day Game is the final workout of the Crimson Tide's spring practice slate and will take place inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. A start time will be announced at a later date. Additionally, more information on A-Day, including additional activities, traffic and parking will be posted on RollTide.com when it becomes available.

But I do think that was probably Alabama's last official A-Day.
That is ashame.... This was the catalyst for the greatest runs in CFP history. I guess all good things come to an end but it sure was critical to the run we had. Maybe the dollars that people are getting from the normal joe bama fan is not enough to move the crazy NIL needle?

Just another sign of changes that I do not care for... I know as we get older change is harder but even with that not all change is good.

This.

People being shot and killed...ya, not quite major enough.

When it is some students gunned down or something that makes national headlines, they will try something other than some deterrence practices. Sad that it has to take something like that, but...

I got a text yesterday morning from a girl who is getting her MA now. It was about 8ish...and she said, quote, "the shit is starting already." This is the same girl I mentioned last year. I'm not worried about her. She said, and again a quote, "I didn't put on a thong, I put on Pro-Tech when I went to get gas."

But this is a 22 year old gal who lost her father a few years ago...and she is packing when she is walking out the door. At my alma mater. I can't describe the emotions I feel hearing from her. No, she's not mine (though could have been when I consider...)

It's the law abiding citizens that get hurt. Can't pack heat on campus or on The Strip, but can be an easy target due to the school and city being a bunch of of pussies about it all.

@Brandon Van de Graaff so you saying it's best to come during the middle of the week and not the weekend? One of the thing why I don't come to any games is the crowed. I can't handle it.

Depends on what you're coming to town for I guess.

Last time I was in town was during a Bama game. I took my granddaughter that day. It was Arkansas vs Bama 2005.

A lot has changed in 20 years around here, and that's an understatement. When UA is in session, it is always crowded around town... just depends to what extent. If you are coming just to visit and see the campus, I'd come during a holiday week or in summer when most of the students are gone.
