🏀 Pettway has hired Perkins Carden (UA GA, been with MBB since '21) as his Director of Operations - Kennesaw State.

KENNESAW, Ga. - Kennesaw State men's basketball added its newest member to the staff this summer as Perkins Carden will be the new Director of Operations for the Owls, head coach Antoine Pettway announced on Tuesday.

Carden is making a reunion with Coach Pettway after serving at Alabama as a team manager from 2019-21, and the head team manager from 2022-23. After he graduated in May of 2023 with a degree in marketing, Carden stayed with the Crimson Tide as a graduate assistant. In that role, he helped in several areas including assisting the director of operations with travel, scheduling, budget management, on-campus recruiting and other duties. Alabama reached the postseason twice during his time as a GA, including the program's first Final Four appearance in 2024.

"I worked closely with Perkins during my time at Alabama, and I was always impressed with the professionalism he brought in every day," said Pettway. "The experience he received, especially the past two seasons, will be a huge asset for our program in dealing with coordinating travel, recruiting, practice scheduling and other areas in helping to oversee the daily operations of our office."

Carden received his master's degree in hospitality management in May of 2025, before making the move to Kennesaw.
