Wexner, can't think of his first name. Victoria's Secret. Bath and Body. (Been linked with Epstein on another note.) Dude has so much money his wife made a donation to the athletic department as a gift to him...worth around 8 billion or so.
@TerryP Les Wexner is who you are trying to think about .from Columbus. OSU Cancer Center as well as the two businesses you mentioned.

Lebron James is a big ohio state fan. He not only was a basketball sensation at Akron St. Vincent St. Mary but he was also an all state football player.

I was joking earlier when I said use DeBoer's buyout money, but now to your comment it actually makes good sense.

Why would you be willing to pay a coach $60-80M to leave instead of investing that into players that can win with a good coach, keep the fans happy, and keep the coach on the sidelines without just throwing buyout money away? Call it Buy-In money. Atleast you can wrap your mind around "value" there rather than an AD making a bad decision and costing everyone tens of millions.
To me it’s more than money, they’re getting more than just money to go to school X or school Y. Obviously UA doesn’t have rich donors, but Kansas does and they’ve struggled basketball wise with dudes and I know they’ve offered a good amount for some of the higher recruits

Like what? I'm really curious what some of these guys are signing for other than money. And no, not 100% of them, but most of these guys are willing to take one extra dollar and tank their career over a smaller pay day and more development to get that $30M pay day in the NFL.

Kansas has always been hot and cold basketball wise. They get hot for ten years and then cold for ten years. When was the last time they sign a true blue-chip recruit? They just got a commitment from one in 2025.

Thanks a lot. This is a big help.

Like it or not, Auburn is backed by the richest, and only billionaire in the state (Yeller Feller). Look for them to start making some more of these big NIL deals in the near future. They just paid Byrum Brown 4.4 million along with getting 12 other players from UCF. Sound familiar? Cignetti + JMU in year 1. I'm not saying they'll pull an Indiana, but they seem to be following the same playbook. Next year will show signs if it's successful for them or not.
He's not the only billionaire in the state. He's just the only one that has publicly available information to show it. Paul Bryant, Jr. was a billionaire 25 years ago. He's a pretty good businessman, I'm guessing he's a little better off now.

You meant USF, right? As we've touched on, the USF talent was head and shoulders above AAC and G5. We'll see how it rates next year at auburn.
