| RECRUIT šŸˆ 2024 Transfer Portal Thread - DB DaShawn Jones has Committed to Alabama

Some Ole $i$$ fans are already saying he is a locker room cancer. I don't think so; otherwise, Kiffin would have probably shown him the door last year.

I wouldn't be surprised if CU gets him. Whoever is getting him is getting a solid player.
I doubt CU can afford him. Rumors are he's asking for 2x his valuation which would be $1m+ for a RB...most schools can recruit one of his caliber why would they pay big for one.

This could go down as an all-time bonehead maneuver but whatever the kid wants.

On Judkins, he and Kiffin were rubbing tires early in the season and it nearly blew up then (I think we talked about it at the time?). I think Kiffin was expecting (fairly IMO) a little more loyalty and appreciation from Judkins based off how his recruitment went. Judkins instead let his success get to his head and became a constant issue. Kid has a world of talent, but he needs to get back on track if he's going to make the most of it.

More of what I expected here. No doubt coaches, handlers, and agents are warping the mind and creating mounds of confidence in these players to give them the heads they are wearing. telling you, I've seen it in our own team, the focus just ain't there like players even as recent as five years ago.

According to OM fans - Apparently, there was an incident at or during the Peach Bowl that sealed his fate. He doesn't fit in with what Kiffin and team are trying to build, and Kiffin already has his replacement.

We talked about this back in the spring, but auburn thought they had him then... had an NIL deal in place and everything, but it never got to the finish line. They will try again, of that I'm sure.

Boy what an ungrateful soul.. couldnā€™t hit the broad side of a barn as our quarterback.. Maryland and Loxley made him what he is.. and this is how he repays them..

He got his degree, gave them four full seasons and damn near 12,000 yards, 80+ TDs, three bowl wins, more than 20 wins, etc. What, exactly, do you think he "owes" Maryland?
I believe in loyalty..thatā€™s what I believe..The fans stood behind him..if he could play again, it should be for them..
