Dayum...I cant explain what the Vol'n'Tears defense just did, but they got 2 PI calls back to back and Purdue just went up by 7 with 5 minutes left....expecting mustard bottle launches any minute now.

Jawja fans have to be feeling so giddy about tomorrow night. Michigan St. beat Michigan...This Sparty team is so...excitingly average. You can say they're stinking it up without Walker, yet Pitt is without Pickett.

Yeah, UTurd got completely robbed on that call.
I can see how the referee said his momentum was stopped so to me it is not as obvious a TD as people are saying. Regardless the Viles will not see it that way so the whine will be thick with their fans.

Oh and I fully expect them to start running their mouths in the off season about how they are back and will beat Bama next year. I was up in the Smokies whatever year it was when Butch had given them hope and everyone was promoting them for breakout year and one of the store owners saw my bama hat and of course began running his mouth about how this was the year. That is what they do and who they are at their core.

Come on man, they were robbed. You would feel that way tonight if Alabama were in the same spot. You do not make that call on a 4th down, in overtime, in a bowl game, with all of the training these guys do, weight lifting, amazing talent and runs we see every week from these athletes, and on top of that with the fact that teammates can push and pull their guys. You can hate Tennessee, but they definitely got robbed. Let the replay official overrule you. His forward progress never stopped, his knee was never down, and even with the help of his teammate he never stopped moving.

I don't think it's a secret that ESPN, as a network, is generally petty. From not crediting "breaking news" stories to their source to forbidding different media members from appearing on networks we've seen it often.

This gets me a bit...

I was on the college football page just to double check schedules and they don't list CBS as the network to watch the Sun Bowl today. What's the point of omitting that?

Hey I know I can be biased towards the Viles no doubt but if you watch there is a moment that the player is no longer moving forward. The Offensive linemen starts pulling him towards the end zone which is when he extends the ball. If it were Bama I probably I agree I would not be happy but it is not as black and white as it is getting reported. I have watched it several times and there is a moment when the player is no longer moving forward. That is what the referee saw and called.

Am I happy the Viles lost? You bet....

It's black and white. A split second is nothing in the scheme of things. Protecting a quarterback or "defensless" player, maybe, but a split second is not where you make that call. He wasn't down, was still fighting, and had a teammate pulling, so forward momentum was not stopped long enough to rule it was. The whistle wasn't even that fast to call it.

I'm not happy the SEC is getting dominated in bowls. Makes us look weak and like our schedule and that SEC grind we like to thump our chest too ain't nothing at all.

I really don't give a damn on any of them. Some I might find myself pulling for—like UofSC yesterday—though that's rare.

(Insert SEC school name) loses to UofABC meaning the SEC is weak BUT the win gives UofABC a lot of momentum going into the fall of '22 (from a meaningless bowl game) says the fan who also boasts of watching very few bowl games.

I don't give a crap about momentum, but hate seeing an Auburn team we just escaped by getting beat by a Houston team that got smoked by Cincinatti. It makes that Strength Of Schedule used to configure the Playoff look pathetic. That same number I have seen you use in discussions.
