🏈 2014 NCAA Football Rankings - Week 11 (Nov. 2)

I see 11 1-loss teams in contention (theoretically, and not counting Duke as they are way back there...) for the final 4 spots - along with the 2 undefeated teams. 3 of these 11 1-loss teams will be beaten this weekend (TCU vs KSU, Mich St vs Ohio St, Az State vs ND). Additionally, there are several other matchups in the coming weeks that will require more to incure a loss, such as Bama/Auburn adn more PAC 12, Big 12 and Big 10 matchups could pit 1-loss teams depending on who wins this week, conference chamionship matchups, etc... We know we're in if we win, but there's a good chance there will be a small number of 1-loss teams left in the fold come the end of conference championships. As they whittle down, it will be interesteing to see if a team like Miss State can stay in the 4 when the dust settles, even if they lose to Bama and assuming they win the Egg Bowl. May be a stretch, but I think there is a chance for that to happen if you look at all the 1-loss teams that will be going down. A 1-loss SEC team will have a stronger portfolio of work than a 1-loss Big 10, ACC, probably Pac 12 and probably Big 12 team. Althought the Big 12 and Pac 12 have had several teams as contenders this year. Purely my speculations though.
