A couple of things I noticed in the article;

Tana Patrick isn't considered a BAMA lock from what I'm hearing. While Nico is more of a lock for us what I've seen and read indicates that UGA might be the leader for Patrick's services. BAMA may sign him in the end but UGA is in a strong position right now.

Also, IMHO I just don't see BAMA getting the top class in the nation this time around. Much of that is due to numbers. We just might not have the available slots to accumulate the points needed for the #1 spot. If we could sign the full compliment then it might be different.

Either way, we'll have a very good class. Enjoyed the article too. Thanks for linking that.

A good note about Nico. You know, he's attending Andalusia but he has a former coach that is now at Demopolis. That coach is beginning to develop a real good relationship with Coach Saban due to our recruitment of Nico and how it's being handled. Which in turn has us all over a great player coming up for the 2010 class.

A guy who is a fan of Auburn that I communicate with occasionally sent me a C&P of a thread running on one of their forums about Nico being down on Bama and was asking if there was any truth to it.

He's one of the guys I fully expect to be upgraded on Rivals to a 5* this fall.

Coach in Demop huh? Who we talkin about Terry, we're gettin into my area when we talk about DHS. Are you talking about a player at Demop for the 2010 class, or Andalusia?

Coach Causey. It's a DE whose last name is Jackson...Marquise...Martaze...something like that.

I believe he'll end up in the top 150, maybe top 100.

There's some good in-state talent again for '10...5-6 five star players if not more.

Good stuff, I've been kind of out of the loop living in T-town now. Looked him up on Scout and it's Marteze, don't think I know him. I'll have to ask around and see if he's the real deal. Thanks for the info, I didn't even know who they replaced Goodwin with. If 2010 is gonna be that loaded, I can see myself being a recruiting junkie for the years to come. :lol:

Wish I had time to keep up with it...

Besides going to class(skipping occasionally), socializing in study groups(Ok a little partying), and a part-time job(Which I'm still looking for)...I have nothing but Alabama Football on my mind. :lol:

Well, if Tana is BAMA's to lose then all the better as far as I'm concerned. I'd seen a number of things (small things, nothing major) the last couple of months that made me question our chances with him. Nico on the other hand, seems to be the linebacker version of A.J. Meaning that it seems to be the world's worst kept secret that he'll be wearing crimson.

It would be awesome to land both of those stud LB's along with Kirkpatrick. We've already landed some beef up front. I could see this class (along with last year's defensive class) becoming the cornerstone for a championship run in a couple of years.

Chris, you do know who Coach Causey is, don't you? John Causey's brother...John played center for Bama from '93-'96.

We've got our pipeline into Demo now. It's another example of Coach Saban getting former players and their families back into the program.

I had to ask some friends, but I know who he is now. Most of my friends are graduated and know about as much as I do about DHS now, but they said Jackson should be the real deal. No doubt there is a pipeline now though, that's good news. You might fight some good talent in Marengo County every other year, believe it or not.
