🏈 2009 Bama players paid for autographs?

Not only is the statute of limitations LONG passed but it would be their word (people no one has ever heard of) against the players word with absolutely no evidence. So, either this story is bullshit or its a combination of the players being smart and these guys doing the buying being very dumb considering it was supposedly all done with cash and conversations in person.

Well, one of the guys is in prison for 6 years for fraud. Selling fake autographed memorabilia.

You mean everything I bought from these guys are worthless!:D
(P.S. No I didn't!)

I remember one year we were at the Galleria in Birmingham (maybe 2010 or 2011) and there was a guy in one of those little kiosk deals with "autographed" Bama merchandise. He had stuff you wouldnt think someone like that would have. We're talking about Joe Namath autos, Bear Bryant, Harry Gilmer, etc. I was shocked but when I was looking a cpl autos caught my attention. I have footballs, jerseys, picture, posters, etc. signed by Julio and Shaun Alexander. This guy was selling cards and jerseys of both autographed and the autographs looked exactly like the same person signed them. Didn't even attempt to make them look real. Kept looking and all of the autographs looked damn near the exact same, with maybe a squiggle here or a loop there. It was really bad. Called him on his shit and he started cursing me in Spanish. He was selling Julio Jones jerseys "signed" for $200.
