I flew out there with a friend (who wasn’t even a Bama fan) to see the game vs. UCLA. I wanted to see the Rose Bowl as much as I wanted to see Alabama honestly. The Rose Bowl didn’t disappoint but the team did. After Milons’ long punt return early on I thought it was going to be a route. Wasn’t much to cheer about after that though. Still a fun trip and glad I went. But the return trip decade later was much better!

UCLA campus is 25 miles away, which is just wrong on so many levels.

And 25 miles in LA can be 2 hours away. I wouldn't be surprised if they move games to SoFi stadium. But the agreement between the Rose Bowl and UCLA doesn't end until 2042. UCLA would have to break the agreement or the Rose Bowl would have to fail in providing something. I agree that 25 miles is too far. It's like going to school in Tuscaloosa and playing in Birmingham.o_O

Actually. That was actually a talk a while back. Dont know how much almost. Probably very little. But the University owns property half way between ttown and B'ham and there was talk of building a new stadium there
Don't remember when. But remember it...

Sure it was nothing more than a mention

I make constant grammar flubs regardless of what I'm using, but some of the stuff I send out on iphone because of autocorrect is ridiculous. I've never used the voice to text though. Just the tiny ass screen keyboard that gives me fits.
Just claim big fingers... Some ladies will appreciate the reference. Oh shit... Your married. NM

I was there 10 years and approximately 8 months and three weeks ago. Stayed and partied a few days. I would have come home a little earlier but ā€œColt got hurtā€..lol

Weird layout, not enough parking, not much room but the scenery around the stadium and the game I watched was a once in a lifetime experience.

Agreed. Even if you're in town and can only stop by and tour if there's no game, would be worth it IMO (but I also enjoy stadiums and such, especially older ones with lots of history).

Saw the exterior on a Pasadena tour. Guide said they were not supposed to go there but they were anyway. Walked around the grounds for a few minutes. Better than not seeing it at all.

Done that with a few stadiums myself. Would imagine a place like the Rose Bowl is locked down fairly well, but it's a beautiful place. Another really cool stadium (with setting) I wandered into once was BYU's. That would be a really cool place to see a game. I was going to visit Colorado, Colorado State, and AFA's stadiums during a vacation in June but Chinaman eating a bat for lunch f'd that up. Maybe next summer...
