If andre smith is picked first overall in this years draft, will he be the first alabama player to go first overall?

i think so, i think Chris Samuels was the highest at 3 tho i could be wrong. I dont think Smitty will go 1 tho. Lions are going for a QB.

Wasn't Namath a 1st overall pick? I know it would have been for the AFL before it combined with the NFL, but still it should count.
