🏈 13-2

I don't know who came up wth it,but I like it.:td:

If you really want to get technical you can put an asterisk next to several of those 13 as well.

Point is who cares. You guys have a great tradition that is only strengthened by your rivals winning championships.

And over the last 30 years you've been far from dominant but still very very good.

I for one look forward to seeing what the next 30 years brings.

War Eagle!

I don't see how 1941 could equal "several", but we'll be glad to rightfully take 1966 in it's place.

You have tenuous claims to '64 and '73 as well. But we're splitting hairs. It was a long time ago. Claim what you want, this is America. With just your undisputed titles you guys are still among the best programs in NCAA football.
By far the most reasonable thing I've ever heard from an Auburn fan.

As far as '64 & '73 go, the MNC was awarded prior to bowl games for ALL teams. Not just 'Bama.

ALLBarn has *2. (note the Asterisk that will always be there same as with the Barry Bonds thing)
Cheated thier asses off to get both.
Fiarly is as dirty as they come and he finaly got caught.
This one will be comming back. No woner it so unusualy cold in Alabama.....
HELL HAS FINALY FROZE OVER!

Actually, if we counted all of them, we'd have 17 National Championships. Go look it up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_football_national_championships_in_NCAA_Division_I_FBS

Of course, Auburn could then claim 1-2 more, as well, but it would still be 17-4

With due respect to the Auburn poster, thank you for your comments about Alabama. We appreciate the respect. I hope our other Bama posters here will show a little more civility when someone offers an olive branch.

In the sports world, it's all about "what have you done lately" anyway. Who won what in 1973 doesn't matter much to a 17 year old recruit or an AP voter.

That said, Auburn's title in 2010 just seems tainted. It just feels like the wrong team got the prize, and the wrong player won the Heisman. It all seems amiss. Of course, I have a bias.....

It's funny how much of a bias everyone has. Certainly rumors were swirling around USC in 2004. I always had a hard time with that as an Auburn fan. This year, because of my bias, I feel like Auburn and Cam are in the clear. Who knows what the future will bring but this win meant a lot to me having watched Auburn come so close at least once in each of the last 3 decades. I'm not willingly ignoring the possibilities that a smoking gun will be found........but man Monday night felt good.

I wonder how you guys would have felt last year had the same thing happened to your program. My guess is the majority of you would have supported Saban and the administration's decision. I did the same with Chizik and Auburn. USC fans did the same with Carroll and company. One group was wrong, one group is hypothetical, and we'll just have to wait and see about Auburn.

And you make a good point about sports being a "what have you done for me lately" world.

Unless you're the kind of fan whose hatred of rivals is equal or greater than the love for your team of choice, of which I am not, you gotta feel pretty good about college football in Alabama these days. I guess the pressure's really on UAB and Troy now.

If you count finishing #1 in any of the wikipedia recognized polls it would be 17-5. Which makes Auburn look much more substantial historically and really changes almost nothing about Alabama's program historically.

Again, historically there is no comparison between the two programs national relevance. In the last 20-30 years there is very little difference.

Like Nick Saban, I agree that having two nationally relevant programs in the state is better for all of us.

So in essence disagreeing with me is tantamount to disagreeing with Saban.
