You guys may have seen different blurbs out there about Zeke. From what I understand, he fainted/passed out during a conditioning drill Monday. He was admitted, then released, from DCH.

This is a situation where it's hard to get reliable information due to privacy issues. But, this I can say with no doubt.

There are (have been) tests that have been run and the results aren't available as of yet. The staff (doctors, coaches, training staff) are all aware of this situation and that's about it.

It's one of those situations where it's best to send up good thoughts/prayers with Zeke and for us to hope for the best.

We'll keep you updated as the story progresses. Until then, worry about the OC story (already released here) or Julio...or _______________ (insert your latest worry here.)

Dang Terry, what will there be to worry about after NSD? Actually I'm a big Bama basketball fan, so I don't have to look very far on that one.

I'm not trying to be negative on Zeke, but this doesn't sound good. For all of the health problems he has had in the past I think we have to prepare for possible bad news here (football wise).

My main concern right now is for him as a person not a player. He is a young man with a bright future ahead, and I want it to stay that way. Maybe I've been reading too much into all this. I just wish Zeke the best. :)

I'm going to call Purinton later on today to see if I can get the University's official word...I expect it to be the same as what I've posted.

Hoping for the best.

I really hate this, he has been one of my favorite players at the Capstone. I wish him the best and a very quick recovery.

Terry, I know al.com doesn't know as much as you :D , but they're stating it's not thought to be linked to his previous health problems.

Sandra, word out of T-town is it may be heart related. Hard to get definitive word on this because of the HIPPA laws.

Terry, please keep us posted on this. I understand privacy laws and such, but this is concern for a kid that grew up right down the road from my hometown.
Thanks,
Serena

My prayers are with him. This will be turn out to be a good thing because even if he isn't able to play again, the problem will be treated and kept form getting out of hand. Medical science is amazing!

Knight's condition

My cousin lives in the same dorm as the football players, I'll see if he can find out how he is doing and what is going on. In the meantime, everyone needs to pray for him that he will be healthy regardless of football.
