I knew we were near the bottom of the NCAA in this category, but hadn't looked to see where lately until I ran across a comment on TI just a few minutes ago.

Auburn is on the horizon with a few teams left in our wake. If we see the Tide not only get through the Tigers, but make it through the SECCG and into the playoffs, I guarantee you that you'll hear a rival fan talk about how the officials have helped Bama get where they are.

BUT, have they?

Out of 128 teams, Bama is in 128th place in opponent penalties. The officials have had an influence—but it's not about making sure Bama comes out on top.

@bama alum A barn fan was commenting on the latest Meltdown compilation about Coleman's stellar tackling abilities. He even suggested that Malzhan should move him to defense.

I wonder if the refs have heard the complaints about Auburn's incessant holding all season and, consequently, they're paying more attention now.

I saw that. He's one. Shame White does a good job of whining so much that the Kool-Aid drinkers follow in step.

Already started. I saw this stat earlier and mentioned it to an Aubie. They turned around and said it isn't the number of penalties but the timing of them. Bama has paid to get the right calls at just the right time. I gave up.
LOL, be careful and don't let someone that stupid touch you, they will be like a sponge and suck intelligence out of you.
