Paul Finebaum was down on Alabama earlier this season after the Crimson Tide lost two out of three games. However, following Saturday’s pounding of Missouri, Finebaum is back to believing in Kalen DeBoer and his squad.

Finebaum joined SportsCenter on Monday and was asked which team is set up for a November to remember. The ESPN analyst feels that Alabama is ready to go on a run.

“I think it’s Alabama,” Paul Finebaum said. “Because we all — not all of us, but at least I did a couple of weeks ago — ruled them out. They looked like they were going nowhere.

“But if they go down to Baton Rouge in two weeks and win that game — and LSU is really struggling right now after that nasty loss in College Station against A&M. And then they pretty much have a tailor made route.”

Alabama has a bye this weekend, before playing at LSU on Nov. 9. The rest of the schedule consists of unranked teams Mercer, Oklahoma and Auburn.

That isn’t exactly a tough stretch, so if Alabama can beat LSU, then DeBoer’s team should have an excellent shot to make the College Football Playoff.

“I mean they play at Oklahoma, that should be easy,” Finebaum said. “They play Auburn, which is a team in turmoil in spite of a win Saturday night in Lexington. So I really like the Crimson Tide to be back where they usually belong, making a run at the playoffs in late November.”

Finebaum’s declaration that Alabama is set up for a November to remember came the day after he declared Alabama is “back” while speaking with SportsCenter.

“Now, like the phoenix rising from the ashes, Bama is back,” Paul Finebaum said. “Where have you ever heard that before? Well, certainly not from me lately. A week ago I think I ruled them out but I’m back in right now.”

Everything he says is for clicks or likes, nothing more. He has no more knowledge than I do...and that's hardly any at all. The only reason most people listen to him is because of his controversy. That or they're too stupid to change the station.

Never have liked him.
His strongest attribute is his special guest and interviewing skills. He also reads the fanbases well enough to know what strings to pull.

His knowledge of football is almost zero.and that is grading him on a curve.

Realistically what are Bama's chances of beating LSU? I'm just curious to know what you all think. Am I just overly pessimistic? Do they have a legitimate shot at beating LSU? It's in Death Valley. It's a night game. The stadium will be as loud as it always is. I feel like Bama will have to play a perfect game. Can they avoid all the penalties that have plagued them all year? Will JM be on his game? Because lately he has played terrible. He really didn't look that good against Mizzou. Can they run the ball on LSU the way A&M did? Will the Bama defense be able to stop Nussmeier and the LSU offense? I truly want to hear your opinions.
