Bob Baumhower comments on taking in practice this week and uses terms like, "blown away" to describe what was going on with Saban, the coaches, players and how practice was run.

"..there's a reason this team is 9-0..."

"...and I've played for two of the greatest coaches of all-time..."

Intense??

Sorry Chop, I never made it past this

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I very well could be) but wasn't he none too happy when Shula was fired? Maybe it has taken a while for him to come around. :)

Sounds like he would be close to the Shula's. Makes sense if he was upset at the situation. Winning cures quite a bit that ails you however.

He played for Daddy Don, and I've heard that he is still close to the Shula family.

All true and he wasn't one in the "Saban corner" when he was hired.

I suspect, and this is just my opinion, that if he wasn't the guest commentator this week he never would have attended practice on Weds. I don't know for sure, but I think this may be the first practice he's attended since Saban has been at Bama. By his comments, it sure seems that way. He's talking about things we've discussed, in detail, for over a year.

That said, his comparisons to the former coaches he's played under were nice to hear.

Isn't he the guest every Friday? I thought they said that during the interview.

I should have been more clear. He's the guest commentator/sideline reporter for the Alabama broadcast with Eli Gold.

Porter's artwork. Saban, JPW and Antoine Caldwell. He was being a wise butt, so I Put his art work up.

Can't you tell? That's Coach Saban, JPW, and Caldwell on the Bama practice field(the Jack's sign in the background is a dead give away). One more fine "Porter Graphics Design" creation. :D
