If I ever get to meet Pat Sajak, I'm kicking him square in the junk!!!! He beat out Brando to host Wheel of Fortune, and college football has never been the same since.
There isn't a network out there that wouldn't snatch up Gary Danielson if given the opportunity.
You'd be hard pressed to find a color commentator who puts in more time on his homework before games. I hope he sticks around as long as he's able to do so...
For all that is holy I hope that's correct. We don't want him on the SEC Network and I can find nothing better for that worthless channel LHN than getting that annoying bastard Brando.

You ou guys seem to have this thing with hating certain media personalities. Why? It's pointless. Turn the channel to someone else. Brando isn't that bad. I kinda like him.

I don't have a problem with commentators per se there's just some that I would rather not commentate the game I'm watching. Brando would be one that I would rather not listen to announce Alabama games.
As for your "I see a lot of this media guy is good. This one is terrible" statement it's that way with EVERY fan base of EVERY team. Yes, including including the fans of that mediocre team in Austin
But Verne can't even remember players' names. Or what just happened. BTW, I think Finebaum is an equal opportunity agitator, always supporting the winner.
Brando made himself hated by Bama fans and by southerners in general with some of his comments in the past. To like Brando would require more of an explanation than to dislike him.

Back in '91 (yes, Old Timer. I'm a Bama fan living in the past...), Brando shot his mouth off during the football season about Bama. When he came to Tuscaloosa to cover a basketball game, we (the crowd in Coleman) wouldn't let him do his pre-game commentary (into the camera). He had to stop because we were all so loudly booing and heckling him. Old Timer, elephants don't forget. We still don't like the SOB.
That's because we have time to talk about other things unlike Texas fans who need to be worried about becoming a factor again nationally which you are most certainly not. Saban's got our program under control which allows us to talk about Tim Brando and who is going to win the curling Gold in this year's Olympic games. :jackoff2:
It's not something unique to Bama fans. I hear the same from fans all over the nation.
Brando happens to be the target in this thread because the Alabama program is discussed so often. A lot comes from his inability to separate opinion from reporting, commentary from attempts to agitate.
