šŸˆ Wow! Can't Believe That the Tenn Athletic Department Would Allow Some of This . . .

Note the date and time of that piece.

While I cannot guarantee this, one has to think the esteemed Clay Travis had foreknowledge of all this information, perhaps even had the article pre-written and stored in a Draft folder, looooooooong before Tuesday.

Makes you wonder if he buried the story, and compromised his journalistic ethics, in an effort to 'protect' his favored program - but had the story in reserve for the day he knew Kiffin would embarrass himself and the UT program.

Guess it is more 'newsworthy' to ask in a forum for sports reporters to have open access to SEC stars if one of those players is still a virgin entering his senior year of college.

wow... i must say that most of the disgust i have had for tennessee over the last several years had little to do with tennessee football and everything to do with phatlock and the NCAA debacle.

i always regarded tennessee as a measuring stick for how good Alabama would be during any given year, and i always respected them as a football team.

those guys deserve better than some pantywaste california soft-hand with a loud mouth basically trashing their traditions and refusing to embrace their history.

i hope tennessee gets a good coach.

who do you guys think will be the next coach at Tenn?

Guys, I could see this coming even before Kiffin and during Fulmer though. There has been a change in the fan base beginning in the late '90's, and I know because I've put up with it my entire life. At one time they were a respected, loyal, and honorable opponent. Call it a change in "times" that we old timers (I guess I'm one now) begin lamenting, but the attitude of the vile fans is just that. VILE. There's a downright anger, arrogance, and hatred emmanating from the base aimed at rivals. They are certainly poor winners when it happens on occasion. Personally, I think when you have that attitude you aren't going to win on a consistent basis. Having said that, I see the Kiffin hire as a symptom of the disease not as an abberation of the program.

Heck, that's almost every fan base these days! I see it from every SEC fan base. There's a hate and overall rotten attitude towards any opponent. I suppose that has to do with how people treat people in general these days. Not a surprise that it would carry over to sports as well.

Air Force coach from what I have heard has said he was happy where he is at, so right now its Cutcliff, or Kippy Brown is what I am hearing. Who knows. They are in a world of hurt right now IMHO.

Wow, as a Bama fan I guess you could see a guy like Kiffin doing what he did at Tennessee as Karma. However as a fan of college football in general, I grimace at the thought that this guy is a hot coach that everyone is fighting over. People like this are going to ruin college football if we aren't careful. I for one am glad that he's gone from the SEC.

I hope USC gets hammered by the NCAA and they fall flat on their face. Only because Kiffin deserves every bit of it. He's a child with no professionalism to his game, and he will never amount to anything as a head coach. Mark my words.
