While I hate to even imagine it.....If McElroy gets injured...where does that leave us ? I always felt pretty good about McElroy stepping in if JPW would have been injured...but I dont have that feeling about Darrah or Jackson. Our inexperience at O-Line increases my concern also...If McElroy stays healthy...I really think he can do some big things....

I think Darrah provides the smallest drop-off/change in the offense. I mean, there's a reason he's the clear back-up, and McElwain would have to revert back to last year's philosophy, but he'd be capable.

Don't discount McCarron in all of this, though. My money's on him to start after McElroy graduates.

I would not go that far b/c from reports I've received nothing leads me to believe that.

Star seemingly has a better control of the offense in a "team" aspect, but Darrah does have an edge when it comes to passing plays. However, I would expect him to have that edge b/c of his age and experience.

You're right that there's not a definitive back-up at this point. I meant to convey that there would be a drop-off between McElroy and Darrah, and I believe he's the best option in case of injury.
