šŸ’¬ Women's Golf in National Championships-

I don't mind a challenge, but I'm not saying it's must see tv. I'd rather watch the Masters on a beautiful day in April over a rain and mushy day. +40 on the first day doesn't create much fun for me. To each their own.
A few years ago there was a period of nine weeks in a row where our group had rain, wind, and somewhat chilly weather each Friday we played. A couple of guys "bowed out," but that was a combination of weather and one fella's back problems (as one example.)

Conditions like these ladies are playing in are conditions I've played in, a lot. So, with a lot of shots like they are dealing with today...I've been there, done that. Perhaps that holds my interest more than it does with others--I suspect so.

This reminds me of a portion from The Mystery of Golf.

"Golf is like faith: it is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen; and not until it is personally experienced does the unbelieving change from the imprecatory to the precatory attitude."

There's a "only the strong survive" quote.

Rain Washes out Second Round of NCAA Women’s Golf Championships

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. –
Heavy rain and a string of heavy storm cells in the area washed out the second round of the 2017 NCAA Women's Golf Championship at the par-72, 6,343-yard Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill., on Saturday.

As a result of Saturday's wash out, the stroke-play portion of the tournament has been cut from 72 holes to 54 holes with the final two rounds being held on Sunday and Monday. The match-play portion of this year's championship remains unchanged. The top eight teams following Monday's third round will advance to match-play on Tuesday and Wednesday to determine this year's team champion.

Sunday's round will incorporate the tee times originally scheduled for Saturday. Alabama will be paired with Stanford and Florida and will begin play at 7:30 a.m. CT from the first tee.

Northwestern must play in this stuff everyday. They are 5 under playing 7-10, and the only other teams that have not fallen further behind are the ones that haven't started yet. Bama is +16 playing 10-14 and have fallen to last place, 50 strokes behind Northwestern.

Shot a 1 under today. There have been no other team scores under par and none within 11 strokes. The next best were 10 over scores posted by Northwestern and Stanford in the second round and by Michigan today. Will probably finish in the Top 10 with that score.
