Can't help but think about how hard I am going to pull for Allbarn this week. I know we never never want them to win, but how ironic it would be if they helped us by proxy. Have to pull for them for so many reasons.
They suck less than Ole Sis right now.
They need this win to protect their $hitty reputation as a powerhouse:D
They need to help us improve the Alabama vs everybody else
Their custom car tags still have Alabama on them.
If they win they help our rankings in the west.
If it is a slug fest it helps us beat them in the Iron Bowl.

We need to pay attention to this weekend so an Allbarn win will just eliminate one more hurdle we have to jump over to be in the end game. Here is a great article about them.

Ole Miss vs. Auburn Complete Game Preview | Bleacher Report

his Halloween matchup between Ole Miss and Auburn was billed as a potential SEC West elimination game in the offseason—one that had the massive revenge narrative from last season's ending and featured two high-powered offenses looking to stay alive in the race to Atlanta.

But as October comes to a close, Ole Miss (6-2, 3-1 SEC) is the only one with championship hopes, although they're slimmer after a pair of tough road losses. Auburn (4-3, 1-3 SEC) is scratching and clawing just to qualify for a bowl game.

No. 19 Ole Miss will look to build on a bounce-back 23-3 victory over Texas A&M this weekend against struggling Auburn, which fell in four overtimes at Arkansas last Saturday. The Rebels lost to Auburn last season in heartbreaking fashion, so expect this game to have a ton of emotion.

Spooky

the barn has been improving week by week with their running back.
I'm not seeing this.

Last week they had a little over 160 total rushing yards against UArk. The week before, a little over 150 against UK. Their last two games have been the lowest totals for rushing this season.

There's very little difference in the total yards per game comparing the rushing attack with Ole Miss vs that of Auburn. Ironically, both teams are just now getting to the "meat" of their conference schedules.

On another note ... "best defensive mind in college football" now coaches the worst team in the SEC in total defense, the worst team in the SEC in scoring defense, but hey, there are a few teams worse in passing defense.

A little over 160 yards and it took them four quarters and four overtimes to get there.

No team has a good game after playing us

It's interesting to look over. You'll find a lot of teams that schedule a real patsy after playing Bama. LSU did for years (up until 2012?) when they started back with SEC play. A&M scheduled Sam Houston State in '12 after their win at Bama.

I did pretty well last season taking MSU after they lost to Bama ... they KILLED Vandy the following week.
