🏈 With Kelly and Napier in where do you rank them in the conference?

What about Kirby and The Pirate? Stoops and Napier should be behind them, Kelly maybe between Kirby and The Pirate. Kirby's probably ahead of Fisher at this point given how long it's been since that FSU NC.

Now I've got to list them all...I have some ties.

1. Saban
2. Kirby
3. Kelly
4. Fisher
5. Kiffin
5. Leach
5. Stoops
8. Pittman
8. Heupel
8. Napier
11. Drinkwitz
11. Harsin
13. Lea
13. Beamer

IMO, I am going with:
1. Saban, no explanation needed.
2. Jimbo, the guy has won.
3. Kelly, simply bc he has taken nd to the championship round, got his butt beat but he has been there.
4. Smart, we will see what shakes out this year.
5. Kiffin, like him or not, the guy can coach offense.
6. Stoops, this guy does more with less every single year.

Is Kelly second behind Saban, or third behind Fisher?

Napier? Stoops has done more with less so he's

I agree with putting Jimbo at 2 … not only has he won on the field, he also has a really good shot at landing the top spot in the 2022 Class 247 Composite Rankings. In fact, he might break the record Saban set just last year. I know one thing … recruiting in the SEC is about to get even tougher than it has been.

I'd probably agree with this. Though, I do think Napier is going to jump into that top five sooner rather than later... and I'd put Leach much, much, much lower.

A lot of you are being generous. I put Kelly and Napier at the bottom (alphabetically) until they do something in the conference. Maybe they should hold a practice or play a game before any ranking.

Would you have done Saban the same way when he came to Bama? I get your point but for Kelly he has actually shown he can win at at the big boy level until he goes against Bama of course but he isn't the only coach to struggle against us. Napier I just simply have not followed so he is an unknown to be other than what I have read on here.

Whenever a new coach shows up, there are high expectations. Most of these never pan out. How many times have people commented about ND's schedule and "if they were in the SEC . . ." Well, what changes with Kelly moving to the SEC? He has leftover talent from Orgeron (which is down from their miracle year in 2019) and hasn't recruited a single athlete to LSU.

When Saban arrived, his first year was meh. Did you really expect him to win it all in year three? Kelly never won it all at ND. Does that make his challenge a little more difficult?

As for Napier, he's done a remarkable job at Louisiana. Does that translate to Florida? Again, he hasn't recruited a single player to UF.

For Saban I will say I did expect he would win a NC. Did not know what year but did expect him to. If he did it at LSU I knew he could do it at Bama because well it is Bama. I believe Kelly will have better athletes or at least more of them. Using another comparison, if Orgeron and Miles can win a NC at LSU, Kelly should do well because I think he is better than both of those two clowns. I say all that to say no way I would put Kelly at the bottom. He has done enough to know he does not belong there.

Let me clarify - IMO, Kelly and Napier are unrankable in the SEC at this point. Any ranking is based on hope.

You cant rank any HC ahead of Smart...other than NS....with the way he recruits.....

The newHCs were in different situations....

If Smarts-wins a NC....and he should one dismal day....he will be held tightly in the#2 slot....with little question...

And it can be questioned because...keLly has been to final 4...

But using that logic....you would have to put Coach O in the#2 slot...if he would have stayed.... and we know thats not true
