I'm still scratching my head on this one.

It's on the Bottom Line if you tune to one of the ESPN stations. ESPN reports SI reports ESPN is negotiating with Lewis but ESPN spokesperson does have a comment...all broadcast on ESPN? :headscratch:

Lol, the wording is definitely a little strange :headscratch:

Ray Lewis is one of my favorite players to watch on the field, and it was a bummer he was off it for a lot of this year due to injury. Glad to see him make a good decision for his health, I wish him luck on his next venture. I think he will be equally fun to listen to ESPN.

He's a little in love with his name I'd say...naming kids Ray, Rayshad, Rayshan...

He's a hell of a football player. To that there is no doubt. However, I can't help but think about the fact he played for Miami. The Hurricanes aren't a program I've lost any love for.

Then there's those two murdered at the Super Bowl party that comes to mind...

Agreed. I thought about mentioning the murder charges .. That was such a sketchy ordeal. Also, his son is committed to Miami, too. Vomit. He's definitely an arrogant fellow, but he certainly has style, passion, and charisma on the field.

i have always wondered about the murders and how involved he was....

The only reason I remember how long this has been is it happened the same year we were playing in Miami. It was 2000. If I recall correctly, they (prosecutors) never found the white suit he was wearing that night. I know the two guys that were arrested with Lewis were acquitted.

It speaks volumes to me that Lewis ended up settling with the families of the two guys murdered in civil cases.

My dad has the same issue... his middle name is Dan... mine is Daniel... my sisters is Danielle. Ego much...

I see the murder thing somewhat like the Michael Vick thing with one MASSIVE difference, Lewis was never convicted of anything and its pretty much common knowledge it was his "friend" that pulled the knife... but ppl still refer to him as a "murderer" the same way people always trash Vick for being a "dog killer" despite him paying his debt. That was literally the only time in his life Lewis got in trouble with the law.

To me Lewis is as great as he is because of the motivational leader he is... I still get chills when I see this speech...

I dont even think its a whisper, how many times have people settled in civil cases for the simple fact of moving on (and there is a possibility that he felt guilty because he was involved in the fight). The prosecution had literally NO evidence against Lewis which is why they dropped the murder charges in exchange for him testifying against the other two (yet even they weren't convicted cause of little to no evidence).

Lol, I believe Ray Lewis of the Ravens is Ray the second, so it would seem that his father started the legacy. (Raygacy?)

Not as bad as George Foreman though! :D

Yeah the Lewis thing is definitely sketch but I agree he gets a worse rap than he deserves. He's done a LOT of philanthropic and charitable work for Baltimore City and its suburbs, as well as reinvigorating an entire fan base. Watching him enter the field is always a treat. I tend to look at him for all he's done as a pro player and as a person and not just the murder indictment/obstruction of justice, though it lurks ..

Re: his speeches .. Honestly, any time he speaks I get the chills! He's a true leader of men.
