By the numbers it is. Based on most recruiting sites its the best ever since they starting keeping track. SEC had 11 5* players....Bama got 6 and the rest had to divide up the other 5. LOL. Can this class beat the ingram/Julio class? Your thoughts?

I believe it is the best class of the Saban era. He filled so many needs and got so many talented players. It's just ridiculous how good Saban is at convincing these young men to come play for him. And despite what the corndogs and Aubs say, Saban does it the right way. He doesn't make empty promises, he doesn't offer them under the table incentives. He just tells them the truth: if you play for me you will get a chance to be the best in the game. But you have to work for it. Nothing will be given to you. So awesome.
The one disappointment (Saban mentioned this in his PC) is we failed to get an elite CB. This after 2 of our elite signees from last couple of years transferred out. I have a feeling someone is going to change positions this year. But outside of that, the Saban train just keeps on rolling on. He's unstoppable. Roll Tide.

True, but think of our CBs - Shyheim Carter - has experience, soph. Jared Mayden - some experience, soph (maybe better at STAR?). Nigel Knott - RS frosh, 5'11, but AMAZING athlete. Could be placed at other positions. Aaron Robinson - not sure if he played (I think so?) 6'1"m RS frosh or soph. Levi Wallace - SR, 6'0" - played well. Of course, Averett is back, and Tony Brown can play corner as well. Not sure anyone (Minkah?, Trevon Diggs?) will change positions? Recruit Kyriq McDonald is a honey-badger type guy, could play CB. He is already an early enrollee.

So funny about Kendall Sheffield - ran away when beat out by Averett, could have played a lot, and then started on the other side of him this year. Oh well.

Not getting any true CB this year could mean dangling playing time in front of some of the best CB prospects for 2018.

I really can't see how we aren't going to have a logjam in the OL. Juco transfer OT Baker came to play and his ranking would suggest he has the credentials at a tackle spot. I would guess by the time the staff gets through cross-training on the OL, Leatherwood, Wills, Baker, might forget what they want and chose what get's them on the field the fastest,
