Does anyone here have any idea when it will be?

If there is one, do you guys think there will be enough excitement over the 2008 recruiting class to achieve a record crowd for summer practice attendance? For most of us Tide fans it will be the first time we get to see them together and in action. It's somewhat similar to the 2007 A-Day game when it was our first look at a Saban coached Bama team. There was a good crowd at last year's open summer practice, so I was just wondering if there's a chance this year's crowd will be similar or greater than the year before.

Let's set another attendance record!

Summer drills can't really be called practice. They'll run skel drills, usually 7 on 7 type of situations if they can, but it's designed more to keep the guys timing in sync, allow the routes to be learned more efficiently, etc.

When they'll run these drills can change week to week depending on what they are doing in the weight room and what kind of class requirements some of the players have.

The gates to the practice fields may be open one day, then closed the next.

One thing I always enjoyed watching was the different camps that come in...we've got a pretty big one this weekend.
