I say yes, but he will be little more than a HC for name sake purposes. Im looking forward to the next few weeks running around trying to hire anyone has any sort of credentials and being heartbroken by every single one of them. If they were going to get Muschamp they would have done so a year and a half ago.



But if they dont have a HC in three weeks, I cant describe how awesome that would be. I dont like Lane, but I am a bird of prey waiting to feast on Tennessee's rotting corpse of a program.

I see Will Muschamp as a possible, as Mac Brown just signed up for another 5 years. At the end of the day, who knows...I certainly wouldn't have guessed Lane would have pulled this, but of course it doesn't surprise me given his track record.

I guess Lane doing this was so obvious...everyone missed it.

I would like to see them squirm. I don't wish ill will on too many football programs, but UT had this coming. Yep, I said it. All the politically correct college football fans will say that's not true, but that programs' leader, Phillip Fulmer, had a direct impact on what happened to Alabama in the early 00's. I assume that his actions toward Alabama were with the best wishes of Tennessee's administration. I also assume that there were many nights sitting around, smoking cigars, drinking bourbon, eating mountain oysters on the halfshell, gloating over Alabama's probation, Franny leaving us, and Mike Price's Rolling good time.

Yep, I'd say they deserve. Tennessee, go to hell.

I am hearing WILL MUSCHAMP is a possibility for the VOLS! He is very close with KIRBY SMART and Muschamp would POSITIVELY come after KS to be his DC! Is there any chance of this happening or does KS have anything in his contract that would prevent him from following his good friend to ROCKY TOP? I really hope this is not an option for KS!

KS could do it, but from a career aspect I don't think he'll do it. He turned down his alma mater, so I don't think he'd pack up and go to UT no matter who the head coach was.

KS isn't a big enough name for them to hire at this moment with the current going ons. If they made a move for KS they would bury UT. Nothing against KS, but he's not a big enough name to help UT recover from the past 18 hrs of mess.

Notice thast Kirby Smart and Will Muschamp are both Saban diciples.KS wont go to a rival school that plays Saban yearly. They are also has alma maters rivals, so its a twofold thing. Not to mention that the program has been submarined. No amount of money is worth going colorblind to adapt to his conditions on Rocky Top.
