((Not sure if the mods would prefer this one in the recruiting forum, but here goes))

Anyway, here's a free Scout.com article where Lacy talks about his decision to attend BAMA over Tennessee. I can't help but wonder if while on his visit to the hill country coach Mongo might have influenced his decision somewhat with one of those patented sweaty noogies he likes to give.

Lacy Talks About Decision

When I sat down I just thought about Alabama and coach Nick Saban and how good they are,” Lacy said. “That was pretty much it. It’s just better competition at Alabama and I’ll be able to play against the best players in the country every day at practice. The only way you can get better is to play against the best and that’s what I felt would happen at Alabama.

That just makes me tingle on so many levels :D

“The coaches at Tennessee are definitely really cool,” he said. “They are all pretty young and a lot of fun.

:?

They didn't rule it out in the article, but does he have much chance to qualify?

It's gonna be tough. The NCAA uses a sliding scale in regards to ACT scores and GPA and I believe at this time Lacy is sitting at 18 and 2.0 respectively.

He's got some work to do, but anything is possible and there is still a little time to get it done. You might want to ask Porter or Terry more on this though, as they follow the recruiting ins and outs and can probably give you a more accurate assesment.
