🏈 Who's playing the Powerball...winner comes from Cali ...

The odds of winning are so small (better chance to be hit by lightning) that it's basically a waste of money. But, there's always a chance.

There is a better chance of getting struck by lightning 3 times than winning it!

But shit, I just got a $24 return for some Mobil thing .. I'll blow some of it on lotto tickets, and the rest on Mickey D's like a true American.

Had a boss of mine ask me one time , " Would you keep it secret? Would you keep working?"

Me, " Monday morning when you come in, you would find me standing on your desk pissing in your chair."

What would you guys do with the moolah?

A friend of a friend gets a million a year (about 600k after taxes) from the lottery. I'd actually prefer that. All portioned out.

I'd pay off my parents' mortgage. Buy them a house on the Gulf Coast. Pay for my sick grandmother's medical bills. Pay off my student loans. Start a scholarship. Donate to animal shelters and rescues. Buy an RV and follow the Eagles and Bama and see the country. And eat soooooooo much BBQ and sushi.

Portioned out? If something happens to you wouldn't you lose it all rather than a lump sum and leaving it to your family?

Lump sum also allows you to invest and make compound interest on a large sum. Basically making the rich, richer.

Something about having a few hundred mil at once makes be uncomfortable. Plus, I feel like I would be less inclined to spend recklessly, which you sometimes hear about.

The friend of a friend who gets it, he still lives modestly but he had to give up some apartments he rented out here in Syracuse. He's apparently put a load of it away for the kiddies.
