Whoever is going to the game, I would like to ask you to do me a favor.
Could you make a sign that says...
WE WANT UCF! And try and get the crowd around you to chant it up and get that on tv.
It would be hilarious!!!
Please, please, please do it!

gotta work. i'll miss most of the game. i'll get to see the 1st quarter and MAYBE some of the 2nd before i have to leave. i'll get to listen to about 3-35 minutes of it on the way to work. after that, i'll miss the rest as i won't get off until it's over. but i'll keep checking my phone as we'll be dead (like we usually are during game days).

I finally got some tickets....I will be happy to make that sign. Look for it on TV! My last claim to fame sign was ...."Hey Verne. its not Orlando McCain." It made it on gameday back in like 2002ish.... Also can yall do me a favor. Im looking for 2 scholarship club meal tix.....Anyone point me in the right direction.

I will be there. Second year in a row I'm supposed to be in the press box. Broke my leg last year before it, crossing my fingers I make it till Saturday this time lol I'm actually going up on Friday and am gonna catch the Hoover-Thompson game and stay over.

Stop tryna act like you still in HS, tryna post up on your younger family members on the Turkey Day basketball court.

Actually, one of my older brothers, who played both football and basketball in HS, injured his foot twice when playing me at Thanksgiving, once playing football, I twisted his ankle when he tried to cover me. Once shooting hoops, I came down on top of his foot and broke a bone. Speaking from his experience. He was the better overall athlete but I play rough.

That would be far less embarrassing than what actually happened. I was covering a game at Theodore and their shitty visitor bleachers had no actual steps. You had to walk on the seats themselves and they were super janky. As I was coming down at halftime, my foot slipped off the last seat and my ankle went completely under me. Dislocated it, broke every bone in the ankle and tore ligaments.

Ouch

Thinking about that actually happening makes me cringe.

No, what happened after I fell on it should make you cringe... When it first happened it didn't actually hurt, maybe it was the adrenaline or something, IDK. But my leg was literally under me, so I had to grab and pull it out from under me and when I did you could audibly hear (and see) the ankle pop back. That's when the pain came lol One of the assistant coaches ran and grabbed a latex glove and filled it with ice and one of the players parents put it on my ankle. An EMT came over to check and he was kinda dismissive and probably thinking I just twisted it. He pulled the ice off and immediately said "Oh shit... bring the ambulance." I knew I was pretty screwed up lol It had already ballooned to the size of a huge grapefruit and was turning purple.
