Utah and win we beat them we will be third In the BCS.

I understand the BCS and conference ties and all that junk, but this is the second year in a row (unless something changes) that the Sugar Bowl is going to be garbage game.
Even if Utah wins, the idea of the match-up is bland.

May a better way of saying it, a team from a respected conference. Utah doesn't qualify there. I don't care how many losses they have (or don't have), or who they beat last year, it is a joke of magnificent proportions that they are allowed to play in a BCS Bowl game against anyone... much less Alabama.

exactly why we need a playoff. I think every team should have a shot, 8 or 16 team playoff based on rankings...noting more nothing less (no automatic bids either for anyone). Just because you aren't in a BCS conf, should NOT prevent you from getting an option to play in BCS bowl...that is stupid and quite frankly sounds elitist.

also...if you look at it.
Florida got beat by an UNRANKED ole miss...think about that for a second, yeah, they won the SEC. If I were Texas, I would be pissed as they could easily argue that they should be playing OU for the NC game...not Florida.
things could get interesting tomorrow if OU wins out (doesn't look like Mizzou is going to do anything to stop this either).

I think the regular season should count for a lot, so I don't like anything more than 4 teams in a playoff. A plus 1 system is good for me. Every BCS conference should have a conference championship game though.

I agree that its a joke that Utah will be playing in a BCS bowl, but its not exactly their fault they don't play in a BCS conference. I mean USC plays in a weak conference and will go to the Rose Bowl with one loss and Cincinnati will play in the Orange with three losses. I think if you go undefeated you should be rewarded, maybe not a shot at a title, but match them up with the big boys. I think we can all agree with the fact that what Boise State, Utah, and West Virginia have put on a show in prime time. I'm looking forward to the match up with the Utes, but I don't understand why our loss to a #4 BCS team eliminates us. Is our loss worse than Florida's our Oklahoma's?

We will play Utah, and we may top 300 yards rushing.
Their offense will get in the 200 yard range, and we will win 40+ to 10ish, to finish 13-1 and ranked #3.
Then next season we will be preseason ranked around 20 because the pollsters hate us.
