And NMSU will come to Bama and Ole Miss in 2019. Wyoming-NMSU is probably the best game on the menu as well. For whatever reason, I have always liked to watch Wyoming. It might be because it appears their coeds, or at least some of them, have a tradition of flashing their boobs when they score.

Hawaii at Colorado State should be a pitiful game. Hawaii sits at #126 in Phil Steele's Power Poll and CSU is ranked last at #130 in Returning Starter Production.

That's my feeling as well though I'll likely have all four on at some point this afternoon.

Doug Martin, head coach as NMSU, is a pretty good story. Their trip to a bowl game last season was their first in close to 60 years.

Everyone gets 2 byes for the season and the added bonus is that all America gets an extra week of college football. We also get to see football games that otherwise we would not. All teams get extra rest through the season to heal up and stay fresh. And teams that take byes before they play you are less likely to get us when were are tired. That is all.

The short answer is when school starts. A longer version has to do with the allowed number of practices. You'll also notice that some teams, like Hawaii in this case, have 13 regular season games scheduled.

As I recall, even with roughly the same starting date next season (8/31,) FBS gets two bye weeks next season.

@TUSKtimes, July. I can't recall the exact date. I want to say it was the last Friday of the month. I want to say it was Reier that posted something on Twitter about their classes starting this past Monday. Don't hold me to it was him...but, I know I read it somewhere.

It's all about Hawaii. One team in each of the other three games are on the Hawaii schedule and get an extra week this year by virtue of playing at Hawaii. Namely Duquesne, Rice, and Wyoming. They are allowed to play a 13th game or take a second bye week.
