🏈 which game?

This is the 1st time that I have had a job that allows me the chance to attend a game.:hyper::hyper: My question to all of you is to ask which game should I attend. Should I attend a "cupcake" game or should I go all out and attend LSU? Would the experience be better if it was a game in which we are heavily favored or should I attend a game that could be close. I would love your input on this and so would my brother-in-law who is going through the same conundrum.

When I've had people with me that were attending their first game I've always gone to a decent game, but not one of the magnitude LSU is going to be this year. Arkansas would be a good example of that this year.

Campus is crowded, but not overwhelmingly so. That way, if you have in your plans to really scour the area and get a feel for the University and the other facilities and spots around campus there's a little more maneuvering room.

With cup cake games you actually have more excitment and fun at the spring game than these .

You blow them out as expected , and fall asleep or get non attentative, or if the cup cake keeps it close , you get upset and sick and want to throw up.

A game where it is at least a toss up, or close to a toss up are always better win or loss

Shoot for LSU............

A game w/ FIU or UT Chattanooga is going to be such a snooze-fest that it'll be over with by the end of the 1st quarter- The crowd will not be really juiced @ all like they will be for LSU, Arkansas, or UcheaT, and the experience will not be electric for you- On the other hand, the excitement and intensity of one of the top SEC games will last a very long time.

My advice?? Bite the bullet, listen to the non-conference yawners, or get PPV- Pony up for the LSU game and enjoy an explosive Bryant-Denny Stadium experience.

Just saying.

BFL. :a:

If the guy really would like to attend one of the premiere match-ups all he has to do is search for a few tickets in the wall, which costs zero.

My first and only game was the 07 Ark game. Great experience. One of the most exciting things I've ever seen. I can't really tell you to either go to a sure win game or a close one. But IMHO, I think Ark is one of those in between games. Plus, it's the first SEC game of the year. I'm gonna try to get tickets to it this year.

I apologize for my ignorance, But what does this mean? What is "the wall"? Please help!!!!!!!!

No offense to CAD, but if you want decent seats with your friend...buy them.

People will tell you the longer you wait before kick-off the cheaper they will be. That's true.

Or, you can be lazy and spent a little more coin...get them an hour or so before kick-off and have more of a selection on where you want to sit.

I'd bet, an hour before kickoff you could get a pair in the upper deck (east) for $150 or so.

Plus, if it is something that would interest you, you'll get a chance to see the team warm up, the band's entrance, enjoy the sites and sounds of the crowd gathering around you, etc...

It's your first time. I wouldn't try to scratch and save every penny on tickets.

OH, and the earlier suggestion for LSU?

That'll cost.

Here's what's happening on ebay now with that game.

Whatever game you can get tickets to is the one you should go to.

I've had the chance to go see BAMA play Tennessee and Penn State, but I've also gone to see them against Temple and MTSU. I prefer the big games myself, and I think that the atmosphere is electric during those contests. Moreso than against the patsies.

But again, I'll go to whatever game I can get tickets to and enjoy it, whoever we play.

Any Bama game is great but, for my band nerd heart, I love Homecoming games with the parade and such. Also Terry P is right about watching warmups and the MDB's pre-game show, etc.

Do allow yourself and your friend lots of time to just stroll through the campus, and do not miss the Bryant Museum - that is always our first stop anytime we are in TTown.
