⚾ 🥎 ⚾ MLB 2025 Season Thread

Was literally thinking about this late yesterday. I cut the yard after the sun went down to keep a little heat away… Was riding along thinking this didn’t suck near as bad when I used to cut the HS field. I only did it 3 maybe 4 times, but for whatever reason, it was more fun. And when I was a kid and used to cut my grandmother’s grass, I always tried to give it that MLB checkerboard look. Of course it never worked out well. And looking back, probably cost me double the time than just cutting it like normal.

He has to be getting close to the Phillies all time HR record. I believe I remember a graph (HR's in Philly) of him looking up to Schmidt, but not by a lot, when the season started.
Are you talking about in a season? I don’t believe he is even in Top 10 for career HR as a Philly. He hasn’t been there for all that long.

Always like him and he was definitely before my time. I guess it was just the memories shared by those playing.

I was a Dodgers fan as a kid and I remember his work with the US National team more than anything.

Have y'all seen that story about the lady who "stole" the ball from a dad he was going to give to his son? Stole, wrong word. She just took that shit from him: beta bullied by a bitch.

Rumor has it she's been fired already because she was doxxed and then students flooded her FB page.

I haven't looked to see if the latter part is true. The first part definitely is factual.

Yes I know it not real baseball but to me it fun to watch. If the game is in a city with pro Baseball team, you may see someone that retied from that team. The rules are very crazy sometime. If you catch a foul ball with out bobbing it it and out. Also they a time limit on the game too. I'm just wondering if any of you guys have watch them. I watch it on the You Tube channel.

Banana Ball, or the Banana Ball Championship League from 2026 onward, is a barnstorming exhibition baseball league based in Savannah, Georgia. The league has played most of their games at Grayson Stadium since its inaugural season.

The four teams currently playing in the Banana Ball league are the Savannah Bananas, the Party Animals, the Firefighters, and the Texas Tailgaters. These teams are part of the entertainment-focused, fast-paced version of baseball created by Fans First Entertainment

To be honest, when the whole thing started up I thought it was stupor and would fizzle out. It still isn’t really in my wheelhouse, though I have watched some of it. I was dead wrong about how popular it would be. They’ve done an incredible job with their marketing and leaning into their target audience. Kids, families, and yes, females. Tickets sell out at about the same rate at Taylor Swift concerts. So they’re doing something right.

What get me is the ladies that play baseball. Each team has at lest one female on the team it be a pitcher, and sometime will bat too. Talking about sellout, college football stadium, some pro team too. It is crazy thing, some of the thing you will see is baby crawling races, kids racing, I could go on about these side stuff. Even have male cheerleaders.
