🏈 Where has Gameday been the most?

We stay at lake lurleen. In coker ( not this year cause its under reconstruction... as you know)
But will give it shot.
We like front porch because of catfish... southern fried!!!! And one place we bring average age.... down!!!!!

Haha... I like Front Porch too... probably only go about once a year or so, but it's good. And yes, it's like walking into a Morrisons in the 80's... You look around and get the feeling someone is probably eating their last meal. LOL

Exactly.
But regardless of atmosphere... which it has little....the food and deserts arr really excellent.
But i bet has highest percentage of Northport or Tuscaloosa residents eating establishments in the county.

Pretty much the same old places...

Original Dreamland... I know folks hate on it, but the original is better than the others, and while it's hit or miss, most days it's still a hit. Just don't go after 2 pm ish.

Original Archibalds.... My preference for ribs over anywhere else.

Nicks still does good business... I think it's way overrated and needs a good cleaning, but they do fine without my 2 cents.

Coker Market... which I mentioned earlier, as that feel to it. They just replaced their wood floor, which was over 100 years old.

The Oasis... really good burger, but the cigarette smoke that lingers like past spirits is just a little too much for me.

Brown Bag for a meat and 3.... A hidden gem, off path a bit, but not far away.

Catfish Heaven... Over by the jail. If there is even an escapee, that's probably the first place they check. It's where I'd go anyway.

Waysider... speaking by by the jail. I rarely go there anymore, but like Nicks, it lives on and stays busy.

Wright's... good breakfast. IMO, better than City Cafe, but I eat at City Cafe more often.

A new place opened up a couple months back down the road, Jakes Juke Joint... I haven't been, heard mixed reviews. But they are going for the hole in the wall vibe. It's an old gas station, remodeled to a restaurant.

I think people just have very different tastes on BBQ. So many variables involved whether it’s ribs or pulled pork or whatever.

Also should have added Rama Jama’s to the list. It fits. I prefer the breakfast there usually but the burgers aren’t bad.

I'm eating breakfast there the first day I'm back in town. Too much history, memories.

Sucks on game days...plain ass burger.

Yeah, years ago I leaned that lesson. I think it was the ‘02 MSU game. It was before I’d moved here. We met up with some family and friends (from Canada, it was their first ever SEC game). I had been talking RJ’s up. We went there before the game for lunch and I quickly realized the game day menu and quality was much different than normal days. They seemed to enjoy it anyway, but I was deflated.

You are a cannibal.
Not me. The teenager beast.

At the end of the GameDay segment Nick is telling Herbie about the sushi...that's a hat tip from me. Rece was going off about it earlier. I haven't had it at Chuck's.

I've had some good sushi. @Brandon Van de Graaff

I actually have Gameday on today because the wife wanted to see it, but I've missed most of it doing some stuff around the house. First meal I ever had at Chuck's (long time ago) wasn't good... certainly not worth the price, but they've redeemed themselves plenty of times since. Mrs. Van de Graaff said that was their Donkey Roll on Crack they were serving the Gameday crew,
